The Scorned Princess’s Silent Vengeance Chapter 06

The Scorned Princess’s Silent Vengeance Chapter 06

Camila, who had overheard everything outside the door, rushed in and questioned me.

“Riley, what do you mean by that? Ezra’s your brother. Do you really have to be this cruel?”

Before Camila could finish speaking, I raised my hand and slapped her hard across the face.

I shook my hand, grabbed her hair, and pulled her closer.

“Camila, Ezra sold me because of you.”

“What you should be doing is getting on your knees and begging for my forgiveness-not standing there preaching about blood ties.”

“Or maybe if you were kidnapped, imprisoned, and beaten for five years in that place, I could

pretend nothing ever happened.”

“Care to try?”

Looking at the fear in Camila’s eyes, I let out a cold laugh and threw her aside.

“Didn’t think so.”

I picked up the ointment beside me and turned back to my parents.

“You too, Mom and Dad.”

“I need to know where you stand on what Ezra did.”

“I won’t go home with you. Until you give me an answer, I don’t want to see either of you.”

Despite the Ravenshire and Nightfang Packs’ efforts to contain it, word spread across the werewolf continent within days-the Ravenshire Alpha had sold and abused his own sister for the sake of his

adopted sister.

After Camila found out, she started a livestream and insisted that everything was just a rumor.

But she had been too arrogant for years and had offended too many people. Soon, someone directly

questioned her.

[Then why was your engagement with Alpha Cole canceled?]

Those words left Camila with no way to argue, and her reaction only confirmed that the rumors

were true.

The scandal caused Ravenshire’s stock price to plummet, and Nightfang Pack also suffered majo business losses.

In the middle of the chaos, Vincent and Agnes still came to find me.

“Riley, Ezra went too far this time. But he’s still your brother. You share the same blood.”

“We don’t want to see siblings tearing each other apart. Can you… give him another chance?”

“At least, help get him released on bail first.”

Even though I had expected this, hearing those words with my own ears still made my heart ache.

I looked at the people who called themselves my parents, my eyes burning.

“So… I’m being abandoned again?”

Agnes hurriedly tried to explain, but I interrupted her.

“I know. In your eyes, Ezra is the most qualified heir. Camila is the daughter you raised and treasured for eighteen years.”

“And I’m the one who keeps reminding you that you were once deceived by a servant. I’m cold, distant, and impossible to get close to.”

“You keep saying it was Ezra who refused to send Camila away, and that I was the one who offered

to let her stay.”

“But was that really what I wanted?”

“When he refused to let her go, not a single one of you said a word.”

“You were all waiting for me to agree to let Camila stay, weren’t you?”

Vincent quickly spoke.

“No, Riley. We thought you could get along with Camila, so…’

“No. That was never possible.”

I stared at Vincent and spoke word by word.

“You raised her. If anyone knows she’s spoiled, selfish, and cold-blooded, it’s you.”

“She’s never once felt guilty for taking my place-she only resents that I turned her from a princess into an adopted daughter.”

“And I’ll never accept a sister who is constantly plotting to take what belongs to me.”

“In Ezra’s heart, who did he truly favor? Couldn’t you see it?”

“Or was it that you didn’t want to see it?”

I took a deep breath and held back my tears.

“If you’d really looked into Camila and Ezra over the past five years… you would have found me long ago, wouldn’t you?”

“But you chose not to believe it, or maybe you avoided that possibility.”

“That’s why even my call for help could be brushed aside by Ezra.”

“Even now, you still haven’t realized that the person who was the most innocent and deserved to be

compensated was me.”

“Only me.”

My heart ached with every breath. I wiped away my tears and looked at them.

“I can agree to write a forgiveness statement and get Ezra released on bail.”

“But first, you have to agree to two conditions.”

Seeing that I had finally relented, Agnes immediately looked relieved.

“Riley, name it. Whatever we can do, we’ll do it.”

When they heard my two conditions, Vincent and Agnes froze for a moment-then gritted their

teeth and agreed.

I took the documents and returned to the detention center to see Ezra.

“I signed the forgiveness statement you asked for.”

“You’ll be released on bail soon.”

Ezra’s face lit up with barely concealed satisfaction, and his eyes held a trace of contempt.

“I told you, Riley. You can’t beat me.”

I stayed calm, unfazed.

“Then you should also know I’m not the kind of person who gets trapped by blood ties.”

“Why don’t you take a look at this-see what Mom and Dad had to give up to get you that

statement?”
