The Scorned Princess’s Silent Vengeance Chapter 01

The Scorned Princess’s Silent Vengeance Chapter 01

Because I refused to give up my engagement, my adopted sister cruelly pushed me down the stairs, leaving me severely injured.

When I woke up, I found myself locked in a basement. I had even lost the ability to shift.

A mentally disabled, crippled werewolf rushed at me with a foolish grin, tearing at my clothes with his claws.

Terrified, I shoved him away. The elderly she-wolf guarding me immediately swung a wooden stick and slammed it against my head.

“You’re the mate I paid a fortune to buy for my son!”

“Try resisting again, and I’ll feed you wolfbane!”

Five years later, I finally found a chance to slip out of the basement and get a phone.

But just as I was about to call my brother for help—

The dumb rogue outside the door spoke clearly.

“Alpha Ezra Ravenshire, the five years are over.”

“Do you still want to keep the princess locked up and teach her a lesson?”

What?

Alpha Ezra Ravenshire—my own blood brother, the very one I’d been about to beg for help.

If all of this was his plan…

I had to escape and learn the truth. Then everyone who hurt me would pay!

My sluggish mind hadn’t even processed everything when Ezra’s voice came from outside again.

“Wait a little longer.”

“Camila’s engagement ceremony with Nightfang Pack is in three days. By then, our parents will transfer the Ravenshire shares to Camila.”

“With those, Camila will finally have something to rely on. I won’t have to worry about Riley bullying her anymore.”

Neon, my dim-witted “mate,” hesitated before speaking.

“But what will happen to Princess Riley after she loses her engagement and the shares?”

Ezra went silent for a moment before answering.

“I’ll see to it she doesn’t starve.”

“After all, she’s my biological sister.”

The stark contrast in his attitude sent a chill straight through my heart.

Biological sister?

I looked down at my hands. They had once been delicate, but now they were rough and thin. My claws had been forcibly cut off after I fought back.

When I had first been brought back to Ravenshire, Ezra had held my hand and comforted me.

“You’ve suffered all these years. I’ll make up for everything you lost.”

He’d given me jewels and gowns, defended me in front of everyone, and scolded Camila whenever she schemed against me.

I’d thought he truly cared—that he was making amends for the twenty years I’d spent swapped and raised by Camila’s mother, years of hardship that had nearly cost me my life.

But the truth? All of those had been nothing but an act.

The moment he learned I refused to give up my engagement, he had arranged this kidnapping without hesitation. He let me live like an animal, suffer abuse, and endure five years of hell.

And he wouldn’t even let me keep the shares our parents had meant for me—he had to strip me of everything.

“I won’t starve”?

Even if I wasn’t the true Ravenshire princess, I could still survive on my own. Why would I need his charity, like some beggar waiting for scraps?

Camila’s mother had destroyed the first half of my life. And my own brother wanted to destroy the second half?

But I wasn’t a puppet anyone could control.

The pain in my chest nearly suffocated me, and hatred slowly grew inside me.

I gripped the phone tightly and dialed the wolf alliance police station.

“Hello, I’d like to report a crime.”

“Alpha of Ravenshire Pack is suspected of kidnapping and abusing his own sister.”

After saying those, I immediately hung up.

I didn’t dare trust anyone anymore. Not even my parents.

The only person who could get me out of here was myself.

I believed Ezra would find out about the call soon. And he would definitely make a move.

That would be my best chance to escape.

I put the phone back where I found it and was about to leave when I suddenly noticed a silver knife nearby.

After hesitating for a moment, I secretly hid it on me.

I didn’t want to kill anyone.

But if it came down to it, I would rather spend my entire life in prison than stay here and be a dog begging for mercy forever.

After stepping through the broken wooden door, I forced myself back into a timid and fearful appearance.

Helen, the she-wolf who claimed she had bought me, saw me coming out and flew into a rage, silver whip lashing toward me.

“You worthless wretch! Are you trying to starve us to death?”

“Get your ass in that kitchen and cook!”
