The Perfect Score That Cost Me Everything Chapter 08

Julian looked down, and those photos hit him like a physical blow.

The more he looked, the deeper his frown became.

How were they so close…

Facing my questioning gaze, Julian’s lips moved, but no words came out. He wanted to say yes, but the mere thought of that scenario was unbearable.

Seeing his worsening complexion and silence, I scoffed.

“So, why should I have to accept it?”

Julian’s throat bobbed as he spoke with a panicked tone.

“I was wrong.”

“But Melody and I really didn’t do anything inappropriate, I swear.”

I didn’t answer. I opened the photo Melody sent me last night and showed it to the man whose eyes

widened in shock.

“And this?”

“Nothing happened!” His voice was shaking.

He couldn’t believe Melody was doing this behind his back!

Taking such a suggestive photo.

“I know.”

It was obviously a candid shot; I wasn’t that stupid. But…

“Julian, the point isn’t whether you slept together. It’s that you’re allowing Melody to cross the line and letting her provoke me over and over again.”

“I could make her disappear without a trace, and you couldn’t do a thing about it.”

“But that’s petty, and I, Sienna Sterling, don’t stoop to that. I certainly don’t have the time to be fighting with another woman.”

“So the best solution is to simply throw you away.”

julian clenched his fists.

He wanted to defend himself, but he couldn’t find the words.

Because everything I said was the truth.

“I…”

I cut him off. “Keep some dignity. Unless you force me to, I’d rather not take this to court.”

After Julian was kicked out, he stared at the photo of him with his jacket off.

His gaze turned sharp as he drove straight back to Vance Enterprises.

Arriving at the Executive Office, he looked at the Deputy Secretary. “Is Melody here?”

She was startled.

“Yes, she’s inside.”

Julian stopped. “From now on, unless it’s Sienna Sterling, no one is to enter without my express permission!”

With that, he shoved the door open.

The secretaries outside exchanged looks.

“Whoa, what’s going on?”

Another sneered, “What do you think? Someone’s ‘Lady Vance’ dream is about to go up in smoke!”

Julian walked in, and a warm body-one that now made him feel uneasy-threw itself into his

arms.

“Julian, you’re finally back. I had a nightmare, I was so scared, I…”

She didn’t finish.

Before Melody could finish her act, Julian pushed her away heartlessly.

“Melody, know your place!”

The woman who was about to turn on the charm was stunned.

“What’s wrong? Why are you suddenly pushing me away? We’re always like this.”

Julian’s mind went blank.

Always?

He remembered: if Melody was scolded by someone at work, she’d cry in his arms.

If she was praised, she’d do the same.

The more he thought about it, the darker his expression became. He and Melody had truly lost all sense of boundaries!

Julian said nothing; he just pulled up the photo and threw the phone toward Melody,

“Explain.”

Melody turned pale. She hadn’t expected Sienna to actually show him!

That woman was so shameless!

“I… it was just a joke.”

Her mind raced, and she came up with what she thought was a perfect excuse.

“I’m sorry, Julian. I was just so angry. Angry that she had me kidnapped. I didn’t mean it, *sob*!”

She watched the man’s face.

She thought he’d always soften if she mentioned the kidnapping.

However…
