After staying in the Blackmore Territory for a while, Rowan and I grew close to one another.

I rented a small storefront and opened a flower shop-a simple, peaceful space that belonged entirely to me.

Rowan was nearing graduation. When he heard about my new shop, he insisted on coming over to help.

He claimed he needed extra pay to cover his school fees.

I spotted the academy insignia ring on his finger and chose not to call his bluff.

Life fell into a calm, steady rhythm.

Then a single message shattered the peace.

I was going over order lists, holding the phone between my ear and shoulder.

“Hello, this is Sienna’s Flower Shop. How may I help you?”

Roses were nearly sold out, along with moonblossoms and winter orchids.

I made a mental note to restock them soon.

A long silence came from the other end of the line.

I repeated gently. “Hello? Would you like to place an order?”

All I heard was steady breathing.

I assumed it was another prank call and reached to hang up.

That was when a voice so familiar it made my wolf tremble drifted through the receiver.
