The Loser Ex-Wife Came Back Hot Chapter 35

Sylvie had told Owen to come to the school at twelve-thirty, hoping to sneak him in after Caleb and the rest of the class had already left.

But to her dismay, Caleb was worried she would be scared and insisted on waiting until her lecture with Ms. Albright was over.

Tina and the others stayed behind for the same reason.

After all, this was Sylvie’s first time getting her parents called in. They worried she might feel upset, so they wanted to stay and comfort her.

Little did they know, Sylvie didn’t need their comfort right now; she just desperately needed them to get the hell out.

Otherwise, her massive lie was going to blow up in her face.

Nova purposely took her sweet time packing up the practice tests on her desk. Seeing only Caleb and his group left in the A-Track Class, Alaric strolled in from the hallway.

He walked over to Nova, ready to help her pack her bag.

But Nova placed a hand over his and shot him a knowing look.

Having spent enough time with her at the Donald residence, Alaric immediately understood her game. He grabbed a chair, sat down next to her, and said, “Didn’t you say there was a problem you couldn’t figure out today? I’ll teach you right now.”

Nova had been struggling to find a solid excuse to stay in the classroom and watch the drama unfold. Seeing Alaric toss her the perfect lifeline, she quickly pulled out a workbook, pointed at a random question, and said, “Yeah, this one.”

Alaric took the book and leisurely began looking it over.

Sitting nearby, Sylvie was already burning with anxiety.

It was bad enough that Caleb and Tina hadn’t left, but why were Nova and Alaric sticking around too?

Seeing the clock’s hand pointing at three, Sylvie couldn’t hold it in any longer. “Caleb, Tina, why don’t you guys head home first? I can handle this by myself.”

Caleb refused. “I’m staying right here with you. If that old hag Larson tries to bully you, I’m not letting her get away with it.”

“Yeah, Sylvie! We’re all here for you, so don’t be scared. That old witch is just going through menopause. Your grades slipped a little bit-is that really worth calling your parents?”

Tina always had Sylvie’s back.

But Nova nearly laughed out loud hearing that.

Plunging from the top ten to past the top fifty wasn’t just slipping “a little bit.”

With her current grades, let alone securing a spot abroad like in her past life, she’d struggle to get into a decent local college.

Seeing that Tina and the others wouldn’t budge, Sylvie turned her focus to Caleb. “Caleb, you should really go. My dad doesn’t support me dating, and I’m afraid he’ll get mad if he sees you here…”

Seeing her look so conflicted, Caleb finally relented, though he clearly wanted to stay. “Alright, text me when you get home.”

Sylvie nodded, praying he would leave as fast as possible.

Before leaving, Caleb made sure to tell Tina and the others to take good care of Sylvie.

Watching Caleb dote on Sylvie, Tina and the girls were visibly envious.

Noticing Nova working on her problems in the front as if she hadn’t heard a thing, Tina purposely raised her voice. “Caleb treats our Sylvie so well. I heard he’s already planning to propose. Sylvie, your family runs a massive corporation, so you guys will probably get engaged right after graduation, won’t you?”

Hearing this, Sylvie’s face flushed red. “Um… I don’t know.”
