The Loser Ex-Wife Came Back Hot Chapter 33

Nova nodded as she drank her milk. “Of course.”

Alaric didn’t say anything.

Thinking he didn’t want to face Caleb in the A-Track Class, Nova quickly added, “I’m just saying. If you don’t want to go back to the A-Track Class, you don’t have to…”

“I’ll try.”

Nova paused.

Alaric said evenly, “I’ll try to find a way back to the A-Track Class.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, really.”

Before Nova could celebrate, the bell signaling the end of lunch rang.

Alaric gathered the books in front of her and said, “Class is starting. Let’s head back and finish those practice problems.”

With that, he placed the neatly stacked books and test papers into her hands.

Nova nodded.

When she returned to the classroom, she saw Sylvie showing off the expensive gifts Caleb had bought her to the other students.

As Sylvie’s gaze landed on Nova, a flash of blatant provocation crossed her eyes.

Nova ignored her. However smug Sylvie felt now, she would regret it just as much later.

Spending huge amounts of time playing house with Caleb every day meant her studies were undoubtedly falling behind.

In her past life, Sylvie had excellent grades and earned an opportunity to study abroad after graduation, which cemented her as the one that got away in Caleb’s heart.

But in this life, Sylvie was entirely focused on her romance with Caleb. She had barely studied over the past month. It didn’t show much during regular classes, but once finals hit, she would realize just how far she had fallen behind.

Nova wasn’t going to waste time fighting over a man with Sylvie. Right now, her top priority was her coursework and getting back to her past academic peak.

Before she knew it, three days had passed and finals arrived.

Based on the previous month’s test scores, Nova, Alaric, Caleb, and Sylvie were assigned to the same testing room.

This exam was noticeably harder than the previous monthly tests. Nova breezed through it, finishing her paper twenty minutes early, while Sylvie wasn’t faring nearly as well.

During the last exam, she and Caleb had only been together for a few days, so her performance had been stable.

But this month, they were deep in the honeymoon phase. Aside from ditching class constantly, she had even resorted to copying homework.

Junior year was a race against time. Never mind a month-even a week of slacking off would widen the gap between her and the others.

After the exam, Nova noticed the color had drained from Sylvie’s face.

Sylvie had always been the class beauty with excellent grades, so her classmates were, always eager to befriend her.

Right now, everyone was gathering around Sylvie to compare answers, just like they normally did.

Usually, Sylvie would patiently go over the questions with them, but this time she stood up abruptly and said, “I don’t feel too well. I’m going to the restroom.”

Seeing her look unwell, Caleb immediately stepped up to check on her.

Watching Sylvie’s reaction, Nova knew her guess was right.

It seemed Sylvie had tanked this round of finals.

That afternoon, once the last exam ended, Alaric waited for Nova outside the A-Track Class.

The moment she stepped out the door, she spotted him. Before she could walk over, she heard Tina’s voice from behind. “Oh, look, Alaric is waiting for Nova again.”

“Yeah, commuting together every single day, clinging to each other during breaks. They wouldn’t happen to be dating, would they?”
