The Last Item on My Alpha’s List Chapter 04

The Last Item on My Alpha’s List Chapter 04

The next day, I brought my resignation letter to Damon’s Alpha office.

A crowd of pack members was gathered at the door.

They all looked at me with strange expressions.

Damon was sitting in his office chair, his face dark.

I was still confused when Mira grabbed my arm, acting all disappointed.

“We’re so close, how could you sell out Voss Pack Holdings just to push me out?”

“If you’d told me you were the one who stole the Pack trade secrets, I wouldn’t have called the cops.”

I yanked my arm away hard.

“What the hell are you talking about? When did I steal anything?”

The next second, Damon slammed the table and stood up in fury.

“Still playing dumb? Who else would do it? You couldn’t stand Mira taking your spot, so you trashed her project overnight!”

I froze, then rage burned through all reason.

“So what if I did? That’s my project!”

Damon took it as a guilty outburst, and his sneer deepened.

He said coldly, “Search her.”

Before I could react, his Beta was about to lay hands on me.

“I’ll do it myself!”

Under everyone’s shocked stares, I’d already undone the third button of my blouse.

The heating in the office was on full blast, but I was so cold my heart trembled.

“Enough!”

When I reached the last button, Damon suddenly shouted for me to stop.

“Astra, have you no shame left?”

Mira immediately draped her jacket over me and bowed deeply to everyone.

“I’ll cover everything. All the damages—it’s on me. Please, forgive me.”

Hearing that, Damon’s sympathy for her only grew.

“This isn’t your fault. You shouldn’t be the one fixing it.”

After that, he released a powerful Alpha aura, forcing me down until I couldn’t stand straight.

“Don’t you have money put away? Use that to cover the damages.” He said it like it was obvious. “I’m not letting Mira clean up your mess.”

I looked up, shocked.

That money he was talking about…

“Damon, that’s my mother’s trust fund!”

Even when I was at my poorest, I never touched a single cent of it.

Hearing my refusal, Damon’s patience ran out completely.

He pulled out his phone, tapped a few times. Then a withdrawal alert for $800,000 popped up on my phone.

I trusted him. I’d given him the password to my trust fund.

I stared at him, eyes burning, but he didn’t even flinch.

“Minor punishment. Saves us from involving Pack enforcers.”

“Still, you really aren’t fit to stay at Voss Pack Holdings.”

A termination notice landed at my feet.

Everything drained out of me. I had nothing left.

Walking out of Voss Pack Holdings, I called the police.

“Hello, I’d like to report a case of corporate theft. Please investigate.”

After explaining everything, I grabbed my suitcase and boarded my flight on time.

Damon Voss, from now on, we’ll never see each other again.

Thirteen hours later, I finally arrived at my destination.

I turned on my phone, and missed calls flooded in.
