The Invisible Luna’s Revenge Chapter 08

In Mr. Aldrich’s guest bathroom, I finally saw my 

reflection in the mirror. I shook as I ran my fingers 

over my cheeks and my hair, tears falling silently. 

Ben and Mr. Aldrich had pored over the potion formula 

all night. “This is honestly incredible,” the old professor sighed, rubbing his eyes. “But… from a practical standpoint? It’s absolutely horrific. The 

potential for abuse is endless. Its very existence is a 

threat.” 

Ben leaned forward. “But this research could be used in 

medicine-” 

“No,” Dr. Aldrich cut him off sharply. “The data has to be destroyed. All of it. This thing is too dangerous. Jack 

is proof of that.” 

I wasn’t part of the argument. All that mattered to me now was rebuilding my life. 

“Mr. Aldrich, Ben… thank you. For everything you’ve done.” I grabbed my coat. “I should get going. I need to find a place to stay and sort my head out.” 

Ben stopped me. “Anna, you said you wanted to take him down. What’s your plan?” 

I showed them the video without hesitation. 

Mr. Aldrich stared in shock. “This is disgraceful! A 

shame on the whole pack!” 

Ben flushed and looked away. “This… this is terrible.” 

“I’ll post it when the time is right,” I said, putting my phone away. 

A week later, I’d rented a small apartment. Ben came to check on me. After he finished congratulating me, his 

expression turned serious. 

“We sent the evidence to the Pack Federation, charging 

Jack with illegal human experimentation and coercion. But we need your testimony.” 

“I’ll testify,” I said without hesitation. 

Ben stared at me. “Anna… you were with him for years. 

You gave up everything for him. All that history… are 

you really sure you want to do this? To destroy all of 

it?” 

I let out a bitter laugh. “What he did to me destroyed 

everything we had already. He’s not my mate 

anymore.” 

Ben seemed to relax. “Good. That’s exactly what I 

needed to hear.” He paused. “I went to see him 

yesterday. His condition… it’s worrying. Here.” 

On the screen, Jack looked like a total mess. He had an 

unkempt beard and greasy hair. The living room 

behind him was a complete dumpster fire. It looked 

like he hadn’t cleaned it once since I left. Ben asked 

him a few questions, but Jack just stared at him 

blankly, muttering, “She can’t leave. She wouldn’t 

dare. She can’t survive… she needs me… no, no, no!” He 

clawed at his hair wildly, his eyes blazing with 

madness.
