The Day They Left Me Behind, I Canceled the Wedding and Them Chapter 07

Derek stammered as he blurted out the name of the hospital.

At some point, the beachcombing tools they were holding had fallen into the sea, but they didn’t seem to care; they both turned and ran as fast as they could toward the shore.

They just shouted one thing as they ran.

“Elaine really was in a car accident!”

Jason felt a sudden pang of panic.

Sabrina suddenly burst into tears. “Something’s really happened to Elaine! What should we do? What should we do, Jason?”

Jason comforted her, while also comforting himself.

“She even called us-it can’t be serious. She’ll be fine; she’ll definitely be fine.”

“Let’s hurry to the hospital right now-Elaine will definitely be fine!”

Sabrina nodded frantically, wiped away her tears, and hurriedly followed Jason toward the shore.

As she walked along, she let out a cry and fell to her knees with a splash in the icy sea.

Ethan and Derek had already made it to shore and were running toward the road.

Sabrina had no choice but to reach out to Jason ahead of her for help: “Jason…”

But Jason merely glanced back at her; ignoring the seawater soaking his pants, he didn’t slow his

pace one bit.

“Get up on your own and walk slowly to the side of the road to hail a cab.”

“I’m rushing to the hospital to see Elaine!”

With that, Jason ran even faster.

Sabrina was left standing there, watching him run faster and faster, growing farther and farther away from her.
