When he received the call from Elaine, Ethan was on the beach.

As the sun set, the sky was ablaze with color.

It bathed the sky and earth in a sea of orange-it was absolutely beautiful.

Sabrina shouted for everyone to take pictures of her and pose for photos with her.

The beach was filled with everyone’s laughter.

They bought buckets, pliers, and a small fishing net at the market and came fully prepared to go

beachcombing.

According to the tide table, low tide hadn’t arrived yet, so it wasn’t the best time to go

beachcombing.

Sabrina suggested that since the seaside scenery was so beautiful, they should take some photos

first.

No one objected.

When Elaine called, Ethan assumed she had just finished showering and getting dressed at the

guesthouse and was on her way over.

He was very pleased with how well-behaved she was.

So he answered right away.

But he never expected that Elaine, on the other end of the line, would say she’d been in a car

accident.

Her tone was strange, and her voice kept fluctuating between loud and soft.

“Elaine called and tricked me into thinking she’d been in a car accident.”

“Is Elaine still upset about the photo thing?”

never end.”

Derek said, taking out his phone and starting to text Elaine as well.

Jason nodded. “Elaine’s changes are indeed becoming more and more pronounced. If we keep going along with her like this, she’ll really end up in trouble.”

He also took out his phone and sent two text messages.

“Sabrina, if you don’t get started soon, they’ll catch all the fish, shrimp, and crabs, and you won’t get anything.”

A little over an hour ago, a series of car accidents occurred outside the train station

One man and one woman died at the scene, and more than a dozen others who were injured were

taken to the hospital.

The bucket in Ethan’s hand splashed into the seawater with a plop.

At that moment, the seawater was bone-chillingly cold, and his heart began to race uncontrollably, beating faster and faster.
