The Comments Told Me The Twin Brothers Shared Sensation Chapter 02

Warm light from my healing power slowly enveloped Adrian’s palm.

I was focused on closing the cut when Mason’s frosty voice came from behind me.

“Better hurry and heal that massive wound before it closes on its own.”

The comments cracked up.

[The male lead has finally snapped after being felt up one too many times by the female supporting character. He’s so mad at her that he’s even taking shots at his own brother.]

[Doesn’t the male lead look like that because he’s disgusted by her touch? Since he shares sensations with his brother, her holding Adrian’s hand is no different from holding his.]

[That’s actually true. He’s spent the last few days wishing she’d stay away from him, and now she’s found a way to get her hands on him by proxy.]

I froze for two seconds, and my power faltered with me.

The warm glow slowly faded. Adrian watched me in silence for two seconds before withdrawing his hand.

“It’s just a scratch. Don’t waste your power.”

He turned and walked away. The corners of my mouth drooped in disappointment, and when I looked back, I found Mason staring at me.

Just as the comments had said, his expression was dark and hostile.

Then again, he had been looking at me that way for the past two days, so I was used to it.

After shooting me one last glare, he turned, went into his room, and slammed the door.

The open area was now empty except for Chloe and me.

[Oh! The female lead is walking toward the female supporting character! Are they about to fight over a man?]

[This is so exciting. I love watching women tear each other’s hair out.]

[They’re both healers with no offensive powers. What are they going to do, slap each other?]

I pressed my lips together and looked at the girl the comments called the female lead.

Mason had rescued Chloe two days ago, and she had exposed my lie the very night she arrived.

“Healing only requires physical contact. Hugging someone doesn’t make it work twice as fast.”

After that, Mason never let me sleep in his arms again.

“Can I have some of those peaches?”

I had imagined dozens of things Chloe might say to me, but that had not been one of them.

The comments were speechless too. When I saw the eager sparkle in her eyes, I handed her the can.

“Then can I hug you?”

Chloe crossed her arms over her chest and fled with a horrified expression.

The next day, as we prepared to head out on a supply run, I approached Adrian under Mason’s icy stare and tugged lightly on his sleeve.

“Do you have a safety tether in your pack?”

The moment the question left my mouth, Mason’s eyes darkened. He was in the middle of sorting through our gear.

Adrian’s gaze sharpened slightly. Without a word, he pulled a short length of cord from his pocket.

The comments collectively short-circuited.

[Is the female supporting character finally following canon? She used to tether herself to the male lead, but now she’s doing it with the second male lead.]

[What’s a safety tether?]

[People with high-level powers use them to keep healers and other noncombatants close. If a zombie horde hits, they’re less likely to get separated.]

[Then why aren’t the male and female leads tethered together?]

I had no idea why Mason and Chloe were not using one either, so I glanced over at them.

Chloe was stuffing cans into her backpack, while Mason stood there watching us with a cold expression.

“Do you want to be tethered to me?”

Adrian’s low voice pulled me from my thoughts. I turned back and found myself staring into his dark eyes.

“Yes.”

I held out my hand, and he slowly looped the cord around my wrist.

His fingers were cold and stiff. He kept his head lowered as he tied the knot with complete concentration, and every time his fingertips accidentally brushed my skin, they seemed to stiffen even more.

[He’s serving peak stoic-cutie energy. His ears are that red just from tying a cord around her wrist.]

[Am I the only one who noticed that his fingers tremble every time he accidentally touches her skin?]

[I also noticed the male lead’s fingers curling. He must be disgusted by what he’s feeling through the link.]

I looked over my shoulder. Sure enough, Mason’s expression had darkened even further.

“You tied it so neatly.”

I grinned and shook my wrist, giving Adrian’s wrist a gentle tug through the tether.
