The Comments Told Me I Was Carrying His Only Heirs Chapter 07

The next morning, I woke up an hour earlier than usual.

When I stepped out of the bedroom after washing up, I found Josiah already sitting on the couch, sipping coffee.

Even though I wasn’t late, I still felt a little embarrassed, “I’m sorry. We can leave right now.”

Josiah set his coffee cup down, offering an apologetic smile, “I arrived early. Have some breakfast before we head out.”

I figured he was just worried about starving the babies, so I didn’t refuse and finished my breakfast as quickly as possible.

After we arrived at city hall, the staff kept complimenting Josiah and me on how good-looking we were and what a well-matched couple we made. They also said our children were sure to be little heartthrobs or beauties.

I had no idea if Josiah felt awkward about it, but I definitely turned bright red and mumbled some random replies.

Lately, I had been getting hungry more and more easily. As soon as we finished the paperwork and stepped outside, my stomach started growling.

Just as I was feeling embarrassed about it, Josiah turned his head toward me and asked, “What do you feel like eating?”

I waved my hands frantically, “No, it’s fine. I can just eat at home.”

Josiah clearly didn’t enjoy spending time with me, and he was incredibly busy with work. I didn’t want to waste his time or make things uncomfortable for him.

Josiah’s tone turned firm, “I’m hungry too. We’ll eat, and then I’ll drive you back. What are you craving? If you don’t choose, I will.”

Seeing how unyielding he was, I couldn’t really refuse.

I had always preferred rich, heavy, and spicy flavors.

The meal plan Ms. Higgins made was strictly bland and healthy, and since I hadn’t had anything with a kick in ages, I was absolutely dying for some real flavor.

I asked tentatively, “Would smoked Texas BBQ be okay?”

Josiah frowned slightly.

I quickly backtracked, waving my hands, “If not, we can just grab a regular lunch.”

But Josiah countered, “Once in a while shouldn’t hurt. Let’s go get some BBQ.”

I was absolutely thrilled, “Thank you!”

[Josiah is actually accommodating a woman other than the FL for the first time. Is he starting to catch feelings for the extra?]

[I doubt it. He’s probably just giving her special treatment for the sake of the babies.]

[Hey Author, I’m begging you, just put Josiah and the extra together. Their chemistry is amazing.]

The comments were honestly so entertaining.

I couldn’t help but bite back a smile.
