She stared me down, then gave a cold laugh.

“But Sage, hear me on this. If you can’t show up for me tonight, then don’t call me your friend.

Because you clearly never took this seriously.”

I bit my lip.

The others leaned in.

“Sage. It’s just dinner. Come. Don’t make it weird.”

I didn’t want to kill the mood. So I nodded.

And since Brynn was still pissed, I didn’t push about the account. I’d ask when she calmed down.

Half an hour before lights out, girls from other dorms flooded our room.

Turned out Brynn had posted on Instagram-the bouquet Griffin sent.

One girl had seen him at the flower shop and recognized it.

Brynn leaned back in her chair, slow and smug, not saying a word.

Video call. One hour ago.

The room exploded.

“Brynn! You’re a legend! You bagged the campus king without anyone even knowing!”

They swarmed her until past midnight.
