The Bullet Comments Called Me Stupid And Doomed Chapter 01

The Bullet Comments Called Me Stupid And Doomed Chapter 01

I stayed with my husband through his bankruptcy — down to our very last dime. And the whole time, he was seeing someone else.

I finally snapped and told him I wanted a divorce. But the second the words left my mouth, something impossible happened — lines of text appeared before my eyes, hovering in midair like subtitles.

[The female lead is ruthless — fresh into her second life and already stealing the male lead right out from under the doomed ex-wife. Total villain era vibes.]

[And the ex-wife is dumb enough to fall for one fake photo and demand a divorce? No wonder she ends up as collateral damage.]

[The female lead rides the male lead’s comeback straight into billionaire-wife status. Meanwhile, the first wife gets lured to Los Cuervos and dies there — pregnant, no less. Tragic AND stupid.]

Julian Mercer blinked — surprise flickering across his face — but it was gone before I could read it. “Fine. We’ll file the papers first thing tomorrow.”

That yanked me back to reality. I pointed an accusatory finger at his chest, my voice climbing with panic. “I meant what I said! But you didn’t even flinch — you never loved me, did you? You absolute scumbag!”

Julian went still. Then his mouth curved — not a smile. Something colder.

“You want out. Fine — I get it. You don’t have to dress it up as something else.”

My stomach was in knots, but I doubled down anyway. “Don’t turn this around on me! I wouldn’t even be talking about divorce if you hadn’t been cheating!”

“You said yes without even blinking — how is that not a guilty conscience? You’re disgusting.”

That shut him up. He stared at me for a long beat, probably thrown by the sheer audacity. “You’re accusing me of cheating. Where’s your proof?”

I shot back without missing a beat. “You think I don’t have receipts?”

I absolutely had evidence. Sure, the female lead had photoshopped it — but I had it. I yanked out my phone.

But when I pulled up the messages — nothing. The texts were gone. The photo of him kissing some woman on the street? Gone.

I scrolled through every thread, every folder. Nothing. My hands started shaking. “Why is it gone?”

[“Why is it gone?” Because the female lead hacked your phone and deleted everything, you idiot!]

[The male lead only married the first wife out of a sense of duty to her mother — he never had feelings for her. She’s always been a handful, but demanding a divorce when he’s at rock bottom? He must be completely done with her by now.]

[This girl is literally just a spoiled crybaby who burns through money. She doesn’t deserve the male lead at all. Can she just get written out of the story already so the ML and FL can team up and take over the business world? Lmao.]

Once it was obvious I had nothing to show him, Julian’s patience ran out. He scoffed — one short, cutting sound — and turned toward the bathroom.

He didn’t say a word. He didn’t have to. The sting hit behind my eyes first, then spread to my chest, and before I could stop it, I was crying.
