The Blood Mirror Never Lies Chapter 06

The Blood Mirror Never Lies Chapter 06

The Blood Mirror let out a piercing hum. The entire catacomb trembled.

Cracks spiderwebbed across the ancient stone pillars. The candles flickered wildly, casting eerie

shadows.

“Impossible…” The elder backed away, shaking. “The mirror is moving on its own? This breaks all the

ancient laws…”

But the mirror was beyond anyone’s control now.

It ruthlessly drained my very last drops of blood. The crimson light was blinding.

I could feel the last bit of warmth leaving my body, but at the same time, a twisted sense of satisfaction

washed over me.

The Blood Mirror didn’t just extract memories.

When the blood of the accused runs dry, the mirror reveals the Final Truth–a reflection not of memory, but of absolute reality.

A scene surfaced. It wasn’t a distant memory.

It was from half a month ago–the real truth behind this so–called “murder.”

An abandoned clock tower stood stark against the night sky.

A figure in a black cloak waited on the roof.

It was the leader of the Fallen, a traitor exiled by the clan. His eyes burned with hatred for all pureblood

royals.

Footsteps.

Another figure walked up.

When she pulled back her hood, everyone in the catacomb gasped.

It was Tania, wearing a black velvet dress.

“You came,” the Fallen leader rasped.

“Of course.” Tania’s voice trembled with excitement. “I’ve waited too long for this day”

She pulled a parchment roll from her chest. It was the clan’s security map.

“These are the defense schematics for the Nightfall Clan. Weak points in the wards, patrol routes. everything.”

The Fallen leader snatched it greedily “Excellent. With this, we can easily breach the territory”

“Remember our deal,” Tania’s eyes flashed with malice. “You pretend to attack me, and then you leave this behind.”

She pulled out a silk scarf.

My scarf. It still carried my scent.

“Make sure Valerius and the others find it. They’ll think Evelyn sold the clan’s secrets.”

Tania tossed a heavy bag of gold coins on the ground. It clinked sharply.

“Once Evelyn is erased by the Blood Mirror, Valerius will be mine alone! That sickly bitch will finally be out of my way!”

Her smile was twisted, psychotic. There was no trace of her usual innocent act.

“You truly despise her,” the Fallen leader smirked.

“Of course I do!” Tania’s voice turned shrill. “Why does she get to have everything? Why did Valerius love her so much? Why did Julian treat her like a treasure? Why was Cassian willing to die for her?”

“She’s just useless trash! A weakling who can’t even protect herself! I am the one who deserves their love!”

“Relax,” the Fallen leader licked his lips. “I’ll execute the plan perfectly tomorrow night. All the blame will fall on that pureblood.”

The vision ended.

A tomb–like silence fell over the catacombs.

Hundreds of vampire nobles stood there, eyes wide, jaws dropped, completely unable to process what they just saw.

Those who were cursing me moments ago were now holding their breath.

Every single eye turned to Tania, who was shaking like a leaf.

“No… it’s not like that…” Tania shook her head frantically, her voice shrill. “It’s a lie! It’s a trap Evelyn set up!”

But no one bought it.

The Blood Mirror was an artifact of the First Vampires. It never lied.

Valerius rose to his feet. Hellfire blazed in his eyes. The crushing aura of a Lord suffocated the room

“Tania… it was… it was you…”

Bang!

In a blur of speed, he was right in front of her.

His long fingers wrapped around her throat, lifting her entirely off the ground.

“You dared lie to me! You used me to murder my own fated mate!”

Tania thrashed wildly.

“Valerius… I… I love you… I did it because I love you…”

“Love?” Valerius let out a crazed laugh. “You call this love? You ruined everything! You ruined me!”

Julian drew his Judgment Sword.

The proud enforcer was crying tears of blood. He pointed the tip of his blade straight at Tania’s heart.

“My own sister… I’m going to kill my own sister… for a demon like you…”

Cassian looked like a wandering ghost, staring dead–eyed at the liar he had sworn his life to.

“I… I betrayed Evelyn for you… I blamed the woman who saved my life… What the hell have I done…”

The nobles in the crowd began to shout:

“God, Tania is the real traitor!”

“We almost murdered the innocent Evelyn!”

“Tear her apart! Tear that vicious bitch apart!”

Valerius’s grip tightened.

Tania’s eyes bulged. She was suffocating.

The shadow of death fell over her.

Just as Valerius was about to end her…

Crack.

A crisp sound echoed from the cross.
