During my time in Sicily, I created many new paintings, and several of them were submitted to competitions.

The day I returned to the country was also the day I attended an award ceremony.

I understood it as his way of making up for what he had done, but I was not Zoe. I did not need his gestures.

“Paige, I’m not here to force you to forgive me, and I’m not asking you to come back to the pack.”

I nodded. “Thank you. If there’s nothing else, I’ll go now.”

Suddenly, he stepped forward and pulled me into his arms.

By the time I reacted and tried to push him away, he had already let go.

“Paige, goodbye.”

He was saying farewell.

I didn’t fully understand, but I also didn’t bother to ask.

The next day, news spread across packs that the Alpha of the Darkriver Pack had changed.

Calvin was no longer the Alpha of the Darkriver Pack. He had even sold the pack’s company.

A few days later, I received a package from Calvin.

Inside was a bank card with a large sum of money, along with a signed bond-breaking deal.

Calvin had gone to the pack fortress and confessed everything about the illegal surgery back then. As a result, Zoe, as the main involved party, was taken away by royal warriors for investigation.

The news exploded online almost immediately.

Not only that, Calvin also publicly revealed that all of Zoe’s award-winning works were plagiarized from my paintings.
