The Black Wolf’s Forced Luna Chapter 05By Novel7s / May 20, 2026 The Black Wolf’s Forced Luna Chapter 05When we got back to Shadow Castle, the rain finally started letting up. But the tension rolling off Damon only got worse. The guards at the gate saw him coming and bowed their heads immediately. Not out of respect. Out of pure fear. Especially after seeing his eyes – still faintly gold. The gold hadn’t faded. Neither had the danger. And Damon stayed right beside me. Too close. Like the Black Wolf never wanted any distance between us again. The second we stepped into the main hall, the servants started whispering. I could feel every pair of eyes on me. Or more accurately – on Damon’s hand resting lightly on my back. Then a cold female voice cut through the silence. “So the rumors were true.” I looked up fast. A tall woman stood at the top of the stairs. She wore a sleek black dress. Her eyes were silver. She was beautiful. Sharp. Dangerous. But the second her gaze landed on me, intense hostility suddenly flashed deep in her eyes. Damon’s face went dark. “Selene.” So this was Selene. She walked down the stairs slowly, her heels clicking against the stone, the sound echoing eerily through the hall. The Alpha pressure rolling off her was almost as strong as Damon’s. She wasn’t ordinary. Her silver eyes studied me head to toe. Judging. Disgusted. Then her gaze locked onto Damon’s hand on my back. Her face went cold. “You brought an Omega into Shadow Castle.” Damon didn’t flinch. “She stays.” The atmosphere in the hall shifted instantly. A few servants lowered their heads even more. Hearing that, something warm spread through my chest without me even realizing it. Maybe it was just what happens when you’ve been through being kicked out of your territory and left to wander alone. Selene let out a quiet, cold laugh. “Interesting.” I swallowed hard. The way she looked at me was strange. Like she’d hated me from the very beginning. Then the Moon Goddess spoke in my head. [Be careful.] Cold crept up my spine. Selene walked straight up to me and stopped. “Your scent is strange,” she said, her voice flat. The second the words left her mouth, Damon’s Alpha pressure exploded through the hall. Heavy. Brutal. Dangerous. “Enough.” His voice was colder than the winter storm outside. Selene finally turned to look at him. But surprisingly- she wasn’t scared. Just annoyed. “The Elder Council already heard about her,” she said calmly. My heart jumped. The Elder Council? Damon’s expression didn’t change. “Let them talk.” Selene’s silver eyes narrowed. “They’re not just talking anymore.” The hall went dead silent. After a moment, she looked at me again. “They think this woman is dangerous.” I couldn’t help but flinch. But Damon stepped half a step closer to me. Instinctively putting himself between us. Everyone saw it. Selene saw it too. Something sharp flashed in her eyes. Jealousy. “You’re already protecting her?” she asked quietly. Damon’s gold eyes locked onto hers. “She’s under my protection.” The hall fell completely silent in an instant, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Even I stopped breathing. Protection. The Black Wolf’s protection. There was something terrifying underneath those words. But to me… it felt safe. My eyes stung. Someone in this world was actually standing up for me. Selene stared at Damon for a long time. Then slowly, she curled the corners of her lips into a smile. But that smile was strange. “If the Council sees this,” she said softly, her voice sharp underneath. “They’ll only believe one thing. That the Black Wolf has chosen his Fated Mate.” My heart slammed out of control. “What?!” Damon didn’t answer. But his wolf reacted. A low growl rumbled through the hall. Full of possession. Full of danger. The Moon Goddess spoke again in my heart. [The Black Wolf’s protective instinct has been confirmed.] Silver letters slowly materialized before my eyes. [Alpha Interest Level: 42%] Forty–two percent?! How was it rising so fast? I stared, feeling a jolt of shock. Selene immediately caught the stunned look on my face. Her silver eyes narrowed. “She really doesn’t know anything, does she?” Damon’s gaze drifted back to me. And for the first time, underneath his calm expression I saw something hidden. Deep possession. And a flicker of something soft. “No,” he said quietly. “She doesn’t.”
