The Black Wolf’s Forced Luna Chapter 02

The Black Wolf’s Forced Luna Chapter 02

I didn’t sleep a wink that night.

Shadow Castle was terrifyingly silent.

The cold cut into my bones.

Every hallway felt wrong, like something deadly was waiting in the dark.

Even in the bedroom they assigned to me, I could still feel Damon Collins’s presence pressing through the walls.

The whole castle felt like a predator’s lair.

And everyone here knew it.

I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the rain still pounding against the tall black window, when that voice echoed through my mind again.

[Order Updated]

[Stay by the Black Wolf’s side until moonrise]

[Do not resist]

Cold shot straight down my spine.

“What if I say no?”

Reality answered for me.

Pain exploded in my chest.

I doubled over, gasping so hard I couldn’t breathe.

It felt like invisible claws were tearing through my ribs.

Sweat soaked through my skin in seconds.

“Fine—fine, I’ll do it!”

The second the words left my mouth, the pain just stopped.

The room went silent again.

But my hands wouldn’t stop shaking.

This was a curse.

A punishment handed down by the Moon Goddess herself.

Then came a knock at the door.

My whole body tensed.

A soft voice came from the other side, trembling slightly.

“Alpha requests your presence.”

She said “requests,” but her voice shook when she said his name.

I stood up slowly and followed her through Shadow Castle.

The farther we walked, the heavier the air got.

Black stone walls rose up on both sides. Silver flames flickered in their sconces.

No one smiled here. No one spoke loudly.

Every wolf in this castle was afraid.

Afraid of something.

Finally, the servant stopped in front of a massive black door.

“Alpha is waiting for you inside.”

She turned and left immediately, like staying one more second would kill her.

I took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

The room was less a study and more a war room.

Maps covered the walls. Trophies filled black shelves.

And in the center—

Damon sat behind a long desk, flipping through a book.

The second I stepped inside, his eyes lifted to mine.

Those silver eyes locked onto me instantly.

That crushing Alpha pressure hit me all over again.

Dangerous. Overwhelming. Suffocating.

Like standing before a giant wolf, waiting for it to decide whether to open its jaws and bite.

“You’re afraid of me.”

Damon’s voice was flat.

Not a question. A fact.

I forced myself to stand straight.

“The whole Northern Territory is afraid of you.”

His lips curved into a faint smile.

“Smart wolves know to be.”

My heart started pounding harder.

He watched me for a few seconds, then spoke again.

“Come closer.”

The Moon Goddess’s voice echoed in my head.

[Do not disobey the Black Wolf’s command]

So I walked toward him.

The closer I got, the stronger his scent became.

Cold like snow. Mixed with smoke. And underneath it all, something wild and dangerous.

Damon leaned back in his chair, watching me approach.

His silver eyes narrowed.

“Interesting.”

My chest tightened.

“What’s interesting?”

“Your scent. It’s wrong.”

I froze.

Wrong?

Before I could say anything, Damon stood up.

He walked toward me until there was almost no space left between us.

Too close.

Every instinct in my body screamed at me to run.

Damon tilted his head down, close to my neck.

And sniffed.

His hot breath brushed against my skin. My face burned instantly.

“What are you doing?” I whispered, my voice shaking.

He ignored me completely.

His face darkened.

“You carry the Moon Goddess’s scent.”

Huge panic suddenly grabbed my chest.

“You know about the Moon Goddess?”

He lifted his eyes to mine.

“Of course. I look like this because of her — her masterpiece.”

I was about to ask more when—

The castle’s alarm suddenly howled through the entire hallway.

A long wolf cry echoed from outside.

Then another.

The door burst open violently. A Beta rushed in hurriedly.

“Alpha!”

He saw how close Damon and I were standing and froze on the spot, his face full of shock.

But he quickly looked down and forced the words out.

“Rogues just crossed the Northern Border.”

The air in the room turned deadly in an instant, heavy with tension.

Damon’s face went ice cold in an instant. His viciousness surfaced completely.

“How many?”

“At least twenty.”

The Beta hesitated, then added:

“They’re heading straight for Shadow Pack territory.”

Heavy silence crushed the room.

Then Damon smiled.

It was small. And somehow more terrifying than if he’d exploded.

“Good.”

A chill ran through me.

The Beta looked nervous and uneasy.

“Should I rally the warriors?”

Damon’s silver eyes drifted to the rain still hammering outside the window. Then they came back to me.

And in that moment, I inexplicably had a strange, terrible feeling—

The real danger in this room had never been the rogues.

It was him.

“Rally everyone,” Damon said, his voice calm.

The Beta bowed and left.

I looked at Damon, uneasy.

“You’re going out there yourself?”

His eyes locked onto mine.

“Yes.”

And then the Moon Goddess spoke again, right inside my skull.

[Follow the Black Wolf. Hunt with him.]

My blood turned to ice.

No.

No way.

But then the stabbing pain came back, right below my ribs.

A warning.

A threat.

Damon noticed my expression shift.

“What’s wrong with you?”

I lifted my eyes to his.

To those dangerous silver eyes.

To the monster the entire Northern Territory feared.

And I finally understood.

The Moon Goddess wasn’t testing me.

She was personally throwing me straight into the depths of hell.
