The Alpha King’s Real Daughter’s Return Chapter 06

The Alpha King’s Real Daughter’s Return Chapter 06 The Wrath of the King

My father paused in his tracks. “What was that?”

The guard behind me pinned me down, while Damian stepped in front of me, flashing a practiced smile.

“It’s nothing, Your Majesty. I just bumped into a chair. Have a safe journey.”

“Furthermore, if the royal family ever needs anything at all, please let me know. The Silver Moon Pack will always be your most loyal, capable ally!”

He was dropping hints about the upcoming marriage alliance.

But my father’s attitude was frigid. Without words, he turned and left.

Damian stood there, stunned. In the past, though my father was a man of few words, he had always been kind to him. Today, however, his face remained cold the whole time.

What the idiot didn’t realize was that my father had only tolerated him for my sake.

Now that I had altered the terms of the alliance, Damian was nothing to the crown.

Venting his rage, Damian spun around and kicked me hard in the ribs. “What the hell are you making noise for? You’re a worthless piece of trash. Did you think a pathetic stunt like that would catch the King’s eye and make him save you?”

“It’s your fault Ethan got carried away by his men! If this ruins my marriage to the royals, I will strip the flesh from your bones!”

Driven by an unhinged frenzy, he delivered kick after brutal kick to my body.

I could see the panic in his eyes, yet it amazed me that even at this stage, he still believed he was to marry into the royal family.

Even though my throat was choked with thick blood, I forced out a raspy, mocking laugh. “Why take your anger out on me, Damian?”

“If you really want to know who the royal bloodline is choosing, why don’t you go ask the King yourself? And while you’re at it, why don’t you double-check if Ayla is actually the Alpha King’s real daughter? Be careful not to end up with empty hands!”

Damian roared in a blind fury, “Of course Ayla is real!”

I pulled my lips back into a bloody smile. “Is she? Then why did the King just walk in and treat her like thin air, ignoring her existence?”

Before Damian could open his mouth to argue, Ayla stormed over and spat right onto my face.

“Shut your mouth! You don’t have a right to speak here!”

“You have no idea how far the royal house will go to keep me safe. My father ignored me just now simply because he didn’t want lowly creatures like you to target me once my identity is exposed!”

Watching Damian nod along in brainless agreement, a realization hit me.

So this was her play. Using this distorted logic, Ayla posed as me, doing unspeakable wrongs in my stead.

Sick to her stomach at the sight of me, Ayla barked an order for the guards to drag me over to a water sink.

They seized my hair, slamming my head straight down into the water.

No matter how violently I thrashed, they just kept dunking me over and over again.

I was seized by a fit of choking, my breath catching until I felt close to suffocation.

The raw wounds on my scalp bled into the basin, tinting the clear water a pale crimson.

A mocking voice echoed above the splashing water, though I couldn’t even tell who it belonged to.

“Weren’t you acting so tough just a minute ago? Acting like some righteous savior, claiming you’re the true daughter of the King. What delusional garbage!”

“Admit you’re a fraud! Say it! If you don’t say the words, I’ll drown you in this sink today!”

But I refused to yield to her.

I had experienced death once; I wasn’t afraid of facing it a second time.

Besides, once Ethan awoke, he would tell my father everything. I didn’t have to worry about my family remaining ignorant of my fate.

My father would tear this pack apart to avenge me, meaning I could rest in peace.

A hand jerked my hair, pulling me out of the water.

I coughed violently, fluids spraying from my lips, before I could even catch my breath, Damian’s freezing voice drifted down from above.

“It seems she is still too tough. Stop holding back. Bring out the heavy tools-I don’t believe she won’t break today!”

He ordered the guards to throw my broken body into the water trough, then stepped over to the electrical switchboard, ripping the live wires out of the wall.

With a sadistic grin, he hissed, “Guess what happens when I put this into the water? It’ll be quite an experience. You’ll get to taste it soon enough.”

Corroded to the bone by the silver poison, I held zero strength to resist Damian’s madness.

Was this truly the end?

Accepting my fate, I sealed my eyes.

Just as Damian lowered the sparks toward the water, the doors were blown inward.

My father stormed through the threshold with Ethan.

Catching sight of my blood-drenched body, a world-ending rage erupted from the King. “Who did this’to you?!”
