Starved Incubus: Wife Uses Me For Housework, I Want Kisses Chapter 08

“As you wish.”

Damian didn’t hesitate, pulling his shirt over his head to let the warm bedroom light wash over him.

He was all hard lines, eight-pack abs, and a V-taper that looked sculpted by a master.

That sharp V-line disappeared right into the low-slung waistband of his sweatpants, leading my eyes exactly where he wanted them.

I swallowed hard, the thumping of my heart drowning out everything else in the room.

It was louder even than the low, vibrating purr coming from his chest.

“Shirt is off,” he stated.

“The pants too. A good incubus shouldn’t have to be told twice, right?”

“Sophia.”

He didn’t move a muscle, but his heavy gaze locked onto mine, pinning me in place.

He reached out, took my hand, and placed it directly on the drawstring of his pants.

“You do it. Every part of me belongs to you.”

“Yours.”

The way he said that title—so submissive, so reverent—turned my legs to jelly.

My fingers trembled as I reached for the knot.

We barely slept that night.

It was fortunate the next day was Saturday, so I didn’t have to worry about missing my alarm and losing my perfect attendance bonus.

But when I finally dragged my eyes open, the bed beside me was cold.

Breakfast was waiting on the table, and the laundry was folded with military precision.

I touched my bruised lip, and a hollow, aching silence opened up in my chest.

I spent the next two days rotting in my apartment before dragging myself back to the office, just another Corporate Drone chasing a paycheck.

Life felt flat and gray.

Every time I stumbled across something he had left behind, I would stare at it until I felt like I was fading away.

Did he find his family?

Were they treating him well?

Did he remember me at all?

It has been two weeks, and hope is starting to feel like stupidity.

God.

Damian really was just like a stray cat.

He ate his fill, took what he needed, and abandoned his owner without a backward glance.

Had I known it would come to this, I would have chained that incubus down, locked him in, and kept him scrubbing floors indefinitely.

A few days later, reality finally slapped me in the face.

I had just settled into my cubicle when the chatter from the Break Room drifted over.

“Did you guys see the news? They found the heir to Thorne Enterprises.”

“Yeah, tragic story. Rivals plotted against him, caused amnesia, the works. apparently he is fully recovered now.”

“What is his name again?”

“Damian. Turns out he is a rare high-tier incubus, too.”

My head snapped up so fast I nearly gave myself whiplash.

Excuse me?

Damian?

I spun around in my chair, voice trembling.

“What did you just say the Thorne CEO’s name is?”

My colleague grinned, happy to rope me into the gossip session.

“Damian. I know you live under a rock, Sophia, but this guy is the holy grail. He is the number one most desired incubus because he is richer than God and looks better than a movie star.”

“…Do you have a picture?”

“They are literally everywhere.”

She tapped her screen and shoved the phone in my face. “Look.”

I stared at the man on the screen, and my stomach dropped through the floor.

It was him.

It wasn’t just a resemblance; it was the same person.

I realized with horror that I hadn’t just lost a pet; I had fumbled a nine-figure reward and a life of unimaginable luxury.

I am the world’s biggest idiot.

If I had known, I would have worshiped the ground he walked on.

Just as I was processing the magnitude of my financial loss, my colleague leaned in with a conspiratorial whisper.

“Gorgeous, right?”

“You have no idea. He used to be low-key, but now he is on a warpath. He is destroying the shareholders who betrayed him and ruining anyone who ever crossed him.”

“They are either going bankrupt or making license plates in prison.”

“He is cold-blooded. Seriously, offend anyone you want, but do not cross him.”

The blood drained from my face as a terrifying realization took hold.

If Damian has his memories back, he remembers everything.

He remembers scrubbing my floors, washing my socks, and cleaning my dirty underwear.

If he thinks that was humiliating, is he coming back to settle the score?
