She Hijacked My Wedding in White? Meet the Real Vesper Behind the Veil! Chapter 07

She Hijacked My Wedding in White? Meet the Real Vesper Behind the Veil! Chapter 07

Ten minutes later, Maison Vespera and the Sterling Group issued statements at the same

time.

No crying. No playing the victim.

Only one complete timeline.

A timeline of every time Adrian left me behind for the sake of “brotherhood”.

On the night of my birthday, Adrian said he had a last-minute meeting, but he was actually at

a private club celebrating his Mia’s “breakup anniversary”..

I had such a high fever I could barely stand, so I called him, but he said he couldn’t get away.

Half an hour later, Mia posted an update with a photo of Adrian driving her to the airport to

pick up her cat.

The night I won the Vesper Anonymous Design Award, he said there was an emergency at the

Cross family house. But it turned out he was in Mia’s livestream, drinking with her until the

early hours of the morning.

And then there was the wedding day.

Every screenshot, every video clip, and every moment was crystal clear.

There was only one sentence at the end of the text:

[A true friend will step aside when their friend finds a partner. A true partner, too, will never

allow anyone to trample their fiancée into the dust under the guise of friendship.]

[Not all hurt can be brushed off with a joke. There are some lines that, once crossed, cannot

be crossed back.]

Perhaps because it struck a chord with many people, public opinion began to shift.

This is brotherhood? It’s like the real bride doesn’t even exist. Bringing the bride into the picture is just too much! Who is Adrian actually dating?

Where are all those people who said Evelyn was stingy? Come out and apologize.

To those who say the bride is stingy: I hope your future partner has “good friends” just like

this, too.

Wearing someone else’s discarded wedding dress and claiming to know the Vesper team-

where’s your sense of shame?

Of course, Adrian saw that long post too.

He read it over and over again before he realized just how much I had suffered over the past

three years.

He stared silently at his phone, his emotions churning, but he couldn’t bring himself to speak.

Mia pushed the door open, her eyes still red.

“Adrian, you’ve seen how people are bashing me online, right? They’ve all gone crazy. Evelyn

just wants to ruin me.”

Adrian suddenly looked up at her with a cold, piercing gaze.

“Did you do all this on purpose? Did you deliberately call me away so I’d ignore her?”

The look of hurt on Mia’s face began to fade.

“Are you interrogating me right now?”

“You actually believe that nonsense they’re spouting? It’s just a series of coincidences-I’m

not that bored.”

“Are you still my brother? How come you don’t know me at all?”

In the past, Adrian would have already started explaining by now.

But this time, he stared coldly at Mia.

“Then tell me, why did you steal Evelyn’s wedding dress? Why did you suddenly add an

unrehearsed segment to the wedding? If that wasn’t meant to embarrass her, what was it?”

She let out a laugh; tears still streaked her face, but her expression had already changed.

“Adrian, is this all my fault now?”

“Was there ever a time when you didn’t go along with it? When I walked down the aisle in my wedding dress, did you stop me? When I kissed you, did you push me away? When I asked

you to be with me, did you ever really say no?”

“Back then, when I was like this, you said I was cute and that I was your best friend. Now that

Evelyn doesn’t want you anymore, you’re trying to blame everything on me?”

“Adrian, who do you think you are, playing the innocent?”

Adrian stared at the young woman standing before him, her face contorted in a grimace, and

was speechless for a long time.

Yeah.

What gave him the right?

Who else could he blame for this but himself?

He sighed and said slowly.

“You’re right. I’m the one who upset Evelyn. I should go apologize to her. There’s no need to

argue with you here.”

“Mia, we don’t need to see each other anymore. No matter what happens, don’t come looking

for me.”
