Scammed at My Sister’s Restaurant Chapter 07

Chapter 7 Punishment

I grabbed my phone and called my assistant. Then, I opened the speaker.

“Sir,” said my assistant.

“I have a message for legal and security,” I said, my voice devoid of warmth. “One, they shall take back all estates and vehicles that are in the possession of Selina Grayheim. The black card will be frozen from now on. The transfer of ownership will be done tomorrow right away.

“Two, in the name of Grayheim Group’s BOD, they will take back all of Selina’s shares and kick her out of all the company’s projects. Three, tell the security guards of this villa that from now on, Selina Grayheim is no longer the owner of this property. She has ten minutes to vacate the place. The only things she is permitted to take with her are the clothes on her back. Do you understand?”

“Yes, sir. Right away,” replied the assistant.

I hung up and tucked the phone away in my pocket. Not once did I glance at Selina.

All the strength she had was gone. She crumpled down to the ground, and her eyes carried no light. She was shocked.

The people she called friends were now looking at her with derision and disdain. A bastard who was kicked out of her family had no right to call herself their friend.

I was going to leave this place. The air alone was nauseating. But then Selina got back up and darted over to me like a cheetah. She grabbed my arm. “Zacharias, please, I’m sorry! Don’t kick me out!”

She was crying, snot and tears smeared all over her face. No longer was she the furious and arrogant girl from before. “I had no idea, please! Forgive me, just this once! I won’t do it again! I’ll break up with Harold right now! Right now! You can send him to prison! Life sentence if you want to! Please, don’t kick me out…

She was crying like a lost child, begging to stay.

All I felt was irony and disgust. She would never beg if I had never told her the story and taken back everything. Instead, her hatred for me would only grow. She would think I ruined her relationship and embarrassed her.

Her apology did not come from a place of repentance or genuine regret. No, she only did it because she feared losing everything she had.

I flung her hand away. The force made her stagger, and she fell.

“Don’t apologize to me, Selina. You should apologize to the young and stupid me. The one who stayed out in the heavy snow just to keep you in the family. Just to keep you alive. But from now on, we’re done. You’re on your own.”

I left the villa without looking back. The bodyguards closed the door, locking in her cries and pleas of despair.

I leaned into my car seat and closed my eyes. The physical pain was still there, but the weight I’d carried for more than a decade was finally gone.

Dawn was coming.
