Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 10

Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 10

The next day, my friends threw me a welcome-back dinner.

All my childhood friends showed up, and Emily, never one to miss the spotlight, was no exception.

She wore a fitted blue dress, clinging to Brandon’s arm. The moment they walked in, every eye in the room

turned to them.

The glances were laced with awkwardness. After all, almost everyone here had witnessed the

bride-swapping scandal years ago.

Emily seemed completely oblivious to the tension. She dragged Brandon over and sat right to my left.

“Olivia, why didn’t you invite Brandon and me?” she asked smoothly. “We’ve all grown up together.”

The lively mood faltered.

One of our college classmates quickly stepped in to break the ice.

“Emily’s here too! I heard you guys are preparing for a pup. Early congratulations! Hope you have a healthy

pup soon.”

Emily accepted the congratulations with a glowing smile.

“Tell me about it. My health hasn’t been great, so Brandon’s worked so hard these past three years just so we

could conceive.”

The comment was overly intimate, but given her status, no one pushed back. Standing next to me-his ex-it

felt like a deliberate provocation.

The classmate glanced at me nervously, offering a strained laugh. “Yeah, it’s not easy.”

Emily clearly had no intention of letting it go.

“Luckily, our relationship is rock solid. We’ve been together so long, but we never get tired of each other.”

Someone raised an eyebrow in surprise. “Haven’t you guys only been mated for three years?”

Three years ago, he was still dating me.

No one dared say it out loud.

Brandon, sensing where Emily was heading, pressed a hand over hers. “That’s enough. Aren’t you embarrassed saying all that in front of everyone?”

She slapped his hand away playfully. “You’re the one who blushes easily.”

She turned back to the group. “You guys have no idea. Back in prep school, during our sophomore year, I

snuck a kiss on his cheek after class. His face turned as red as a tomato.”

She spun around to confront him. “Admit it. You were already into me back then, weren’t you, you tsundere?”

“Stop it!” Brandon’s voice dropped, instantly chilling the room.

The guests exchanged glances, subtle scoffs passing between them.

None of us knew their secret history went back that far.

Back then, Brandon and I were considered the golden couple. A random video of us posted online would easily get millions of likes.

Everyone thought we would be end-game.

No one expected our picture-perfect romance to be built on such disgusting betrayal.

“Is this a party or a funeral? Why so quiet?”

A tall, commanding figure walked in. His eyes locked onto me immediately.

He strolled over, looked at the two sitting beside me, and said coldly, “Move. I’m allergic to sitting any further

away from Olivia.”

Emily’s face darkened. She nudged Brandon with her elbow, but he didn’t move. Instead, he leaned back into the sofa, legs crossed, throwing a defiant glare at Vincent.

With everyone watching, Emily lost face. “Babe, let me sit over there. Let’s not get in the way of their

bonding.”

Brandon pulled his gaze away, giving me a warning look as he stood up.

I ignored him entirely.

The vacated spot was wide enough for two people, but Vincent sat right next to me, his body almost pressing against mine, leaving barely a millimeter of space between us.

As the heir of the Whitemoon Pack, the man commanded every room he walked into.

Seeing him crowd against me with that deadpan face was almost surreal.

Someone started teasing, “So, what’s going on here?”

Vincent, who usually spoke less than ten words a night, proved surprisingly patient.

“I defer to Olivia. If she says we’re something, we are. If she says no, then it means I need to try harder.”

Whistles and laughter erupted around the room.

In the corner, a dark pair of eyes remained glued to me, growing colder by the second.

Emily tugged at Brandon’s sleeve. “Brandon, do you want to play a dare game?”
