Rejected on the Frost Moon Night, Claimed by the Alpha King Chapter 08

Lilith jabbed a finger in my face, screaming at the top of her lungs.

“You’re the one who seduced my husband, aren’t you?!”

“Blaze won’t shut up about you! Even in his dreams, he’s calling your name!”

“You shameless bitch-he wants to break our mate bond because of you!”

Alaric shifted in front of me, ready to kick her back into the dirt.

But before he could move, a blur slammed into her from the side.

Smack!

A brutal slap snapped Lilith’s head sideways. She crashed into the snow, sprawled and dazed.

Blaze stood over her, eyes bloodshot, shaking with rage.

“Shut your filthy mouth and get the hell home!”

Lilith clutched her cheek, wailing in the snow.

“Blaze, you’ve got some nerve! Hitting me over that slut?!”

“You two were cheating all along, weren’t you?! I’ll post it online-expose both of you!”

Alaric pulled out his phone, thumb hovering over the screen.

“I just recorded every word.”

“Public defamation against my wife. That’s a felony.”

“Silvermoon Pack’s legal team is filing the lawsuit tomorrow.”

He looked down at her like she was already six feet under.

“Hope you can afford a decent lawyer.”

Lilith’s screams choked off.

Her face went paper-white, her whole body trembling violently.

Blaze grabbed her by the hair, yanking her upright.

“Not embarrassing enough for you? Get. Home.”

He dragged her away, her shrieks echoing through the parking lot.

i watched their pathetic struggle in the snow, then turned to Alaric.

“Honey, it’s freezing. Let’s go home.”

He tucked my scarf tighter, pressing a soft kiss to my forehead.

“Let’s go.”

We drove off without looking back.

Three months later, my class group chat exploded.

The class president sent a long voice message.

“Breaking news! Lilith lost the lawsuit against Silvermoon Pack. She refused to pay, so they enforced a contempt charge-she got detained!”

“Blaze picked her up from jail, and they started fighting right outside the gates.”

“Lilith screamed at him, called him a useless loser who couldn’t even keep his own wife.”

“Blaze snapped. He pulled a knife out of his bag and stabbed her over a dozen times.”

“She died on the spot. Cops tackled him, and he just laughed, screaming that he was finally free.”

I turned off my phone and muted the group chat.

Sunlight streamed through the window. The breeze was perfect.

Alaric walked in carrying a bowl of warm oatmeal, blowing gently on the spoon before bringing it to my lips.

“Open up, sweetheart.”

I smiled, taking the bite, feeling our little one kick inside me.

The past is nothing but ashes now.

This was the start of my actual life.
