One Don Hates Me to the Bone, the Other Seeks My Ruin Chapter 10

One Don Hates Me to the Bone, the Other Seeks My Ruin Chapter 10

Three years later, Upstate New York, Westchester Cemetery.

A woman in a trench coat and sunglasses bent down.

She gently placed a bunch of white chrysanthemums in front of a tombstone.

The middle-aged woman on the tombstone smiled warmly and kindly.

A gust of wind blew past, sweeping her shoulder-length hair into the air.

Mary stood beside her, offering quiet comfort.

“If your mother could see how well you’re doing now, she’d be so happy.”

A tear slid down her cheek.

The woman lifted her hand and took off her sunglasses.

Revealing Helen’s still exquisite and beautiful face.

I am alive.

After falling into the ocean back then, I was washed ashore by the undercurrents and fortunately saved by

local fishermen.

It took me three months of recovery just to get out of bed.

Later, I secretly contacted Mary. She rushed over to get me, and we held each other, weeping uncontrollably.

Mary brought along the belongings my mother left behind, including a voice recording.

My mother said she felt so much pain for me, and she was sorry…

To her, death was a release, and she told me not to grieve.

She wanted me to never be trapped by love in this life, to just be myself and be happy.

Mary said my mother looked very peaceful when she passed away.

Only then did I realize that to the rest of the world, I was already “dead.”

I decided to run with it. With Mary’s help, I went abroad alone to pursue my studies.

Back in college, I was a top student in the Finance Department at Columbia University, specializing in

corporate strategy and market operations.

Over the past three years abroad, I never let myself relax for a single second.

All for the sake of one day avenging my mother and myself.

The Helen of today was no longer the weak, helpless girl who could be easily bullied.

While still overseas, I used an alias to invest in a rival firm back in the States.

Secretly stealing numerous major projects from the Martinez Family.

From logistics automation to real estate technology, I targeted their most lucrative sectors.

I expected someone as ruthless as Oliver to retaliate with the most extreme measures.

But to my surprise, he seemed completely indifferent to the family business.

Not only that, my father’s company, which I had intended to destroy myself, had already been brought down

by Oliver and Noah.

According to Mary, shortly after my “death,” Noah and Oliver joined forces to ruin my father.

Hanna was set up by Oliver to marry a violent, abusive old man.

Her life right now was a living hell.

And Jessica was kicked out by Noah, her whereabouts unknown.

I couldn’t fathom what kind of game they were playing.

When I was around, the two of them took turns humiliating and hurting me.

Now that I was gone, they did all these bizarre things under the guise of delivering justice for me.

Mary sighed.

“It’s strange, really. They both believe you’re gone, yet neither is willing to sign the paperwork.”

“For the past three years, you’re still legally Oliver’s wife. He still lives in that Upper East Side townhouse of yours, and I haven’t heard a single rumor about him with any other woman.”

“As for Noah, after breaking off the engagement with Jessica, plenty of wealthy heiresses came knocking,

but he turned them all down.”

Mary stole a glance at me and said softly.

“Helen, it looks like neither of them can let you go…

Hearing those two names again felt like a lifetime ago.

Yet my heart didn’t even skip a beat.

The corner of my mouth twitched into a cold smile. “Has nothing to do with me.”

As we left the cemetery, a Maybach brushed past us.

I tilted my head slightly, adjusting my sunglasses.

It was Noah’s car…

I didn’t expect to almost run into him on my very first day back.

I grabbed Mary, quickening my pace.

But we hadn’t gone far before the Maybach pulled a U-turn and caught up to us.

Noah stepped out of the car, calling out to Mary first.

Mary’s heart clenched, and she instinctively pulled me to run.

I knew there was no hiding.

Since I decided to return, I never intended to keep avoiding him.

We were bound to cross paths sooner or later anyway.

I turned around, calmly removing my sunglasses, my tone perfectly poised and distant.

“Hello, Mr. Williams. I am Helen, the Chief CEO of Helen & Co.”
