My Villainess Script Has A Glitch Chapter 03

The comments kept coming.

[The side character’s still lying in bed, deluding herself. Does she actually think the male lead’s going to marry her just because she slept with him?]

[The male lead already has his grandfather wrapped around his finger. His stepbrother and Victoria don’t stand a chance against him.]

[She’s so stupid. If she’d just asked him like a normal person, he probably would’ve helped the Kensingtons. But no — she had to go and drug him.]

[No wonder the male lead can’t stand her. When they were kids, she made him follow her around like a lapdog and even dressed him up in girls’ clothes for fun.]

So that was how Nathaniel saw me. He’d hated me all along.

There was no point staying. I needed to disappear.

The second my feet hit the floor, my legs almost buckled. Every step sent pain shooting through my hips and thighs.

Nathaniel really had been brutal. My clothes were strewn across the room, torn to shreds.

I pieced together what I could and pulled them on. Then I bent down to fish my phone out from between the mattress and the bed frame.

The bathroom door creaked open behind me. Nathaniel stepped out in a bathrobe, still damp from the shower, his neck marked with scratches.

His face was flushed from the hot water. He took one look at me bent over with my skirt riding up, and his voice was laced with disgust.

“It’s not even dark yet. What kind of game are you playing now?”

He thought this was a game? I had no idea what he was talking about.

Then I realized where he was looking. The skirt was already ripped so short it barely counted as clothing, and bending over had hiked it up even more.

From where he stood, he had a clear view of everything.

I wasn’t trying to seduce him. I barely had the energy to stand.

The comments, naturally, took his side.

[Ugh, I’ve had enough of this side character. Does she think sleeping with him once is going to make him fall for her? Please.]

[Can the male lead just get rid of her already? She’s honestly painful to watch.]

[I’ll give her this, though — the side character is actually gorgeous. Great skin, legs for days. That angle is doing something to me, and I’m a girl.]

I yanked my skirt down and straightened up.

“I wasn’t trying to seduce you,” I said.

“Then what was last night?” he said.

“Last night was mutual,” I said. “It’s done. Let’s just pretend it never happened.”

“Pretend it never happened?” Something in his face shifted — something darker, harder.

If I didn’t try to hold him to it, he’d have no reason to come after me or my family. We could go our separate ways.

“You’re unbelievable, Chloe.” He bit the words out and walked out.
