Rowan replied, [Don’t just look at her face. She’s awful. She’s not qualified to be anyone’s guardian.]

[She’s boring, old-fashioned, and uptight. Even the only lion shifter friend I have doesn’t like her.]

At the end, Rowan wrote:

The next second, an anonymous shifter claimed the transfer instantly.

Rowan stared at them blankly, and only then did he remember one crucial rule of the black market.

Rowan Vale lay on the bed behind me, scrolling through his phone while his plush crimson tail twitched with restless energy.

Then, without warning, his tail went stiff. He scrambled up from the bed and glance at me.

At a glance, I saw my own photo in one of them.

My breath stopped.
