My Son’s Bully Was His Old Flame’s Son Chapter 06

My Son’s Bully Was His Old Flame’s Son Chapter 06

Joseph’s fingers tightened around the gavel for a long time, the knuckles turning stark white. He wanted this trial over more than anyone.

Because this courtroom was a dagger.

And the longer the hearing dragged on, the more that blade would cut, splitting open every rotting secret he had buried in the dark, laying them bare for the world to see.

But he had no escape. Everyone in the courtroom was watching. Hundreds of thousands were watching online. If he refused, he would only look guilty.

After a long, heavy breath, he squeezed out the words through clenched teeth.

“Request to change the defendant… granted.”

The moment he spoke, Mr. Collins stepped forward sharply.

“Your Honor, my client moves for the immediate recusal of Judge Sterling and files a cross-complaint for judicial misconduct and criminal conspiracy.”

The courtroom detonated. Joseph’s gavel struck the wood like a gunshot, but his authority was already hemorrhaging.

“Sierra! Are you insane? Do you even know what you’re saying?!”

The audience erupted. The livestream exploded even harder.

[Wait, did she just say adultery? With Mr. Sterling??]

[She must be desperate, biting wildly now. Mr. Sterling doesn’t look like that kind of man…]

[Look at the defendant’s expression! She went pale. It HAS to be her!]

[So that’s why he kept protecting her! Disgusting!]

All eyes snapped toward Julia. She sat trembling in the defendant’s seat, her face drained of every trace of color. I pointed at her, each word slow and deliberate.

“That’s right. Joseph’s affair partner… is her. Julia Johnson.”

Joseph could no longer sit still. He stormed down from the bench and grabbed my wrist hard enough to crush bone.

“Sierra, stop this! Julia and I are just friends. Old acquaintances from the academy. I only helped her because she’s a single mother struggling to raise a child.”

“You’re upset—you’re jealous—you don’t know what you’re saying. Just explain it to everyone, okay? Don’t destroy our family. Don’t ruin Carl’s future.”

I tore my arm free and let out a cold, mirthless laugh.

“If you’re so sure you and your old classmate are ‘just friends,’ then let’s show everyone what you’ve been doing.”

I handed my phone to Mr. Collins, who synced it to the courtroom display.

Seconds later, the screen lit up.

There appeared the footage I had recorded in the hospital, of Joseph holding Trent with practiced affection, Julia at his side, the three of them standing together like a perfect, happy family.

Then Mr. Collins opened the bank statements. Clear as day, they showed that for the past three years, Joseph had transferred nearly a million dollars to Julia.

The money trail was a map of betrayal, a series of offshore transfers and ‘consulting fees’ that funded a life he denied his own flesh and blood.

Finally, my attorney played the screenshots of Julia’s private messages to me.

[Joseph has only ever loved me. You’re just decoration sitting in his wife’s spot. He won’t even touch you. Isn’t that pathetic?]

[Trent gets anything he wants. But your son, Carl? Joseph won’t even defend him. Just like you, a footnote in his real life.]

One by one, the evidence stacked across the screen. Undeniable. Inescapable.

The courtroom fell into suffocating silence. Then, seconds later, chaos erupted. Whispers in the audience turned into full-blown shouting.

The livestream chat flipped in an instant.

[This is disgusting! He ignored his own injured child while pampering his mistress’s kid?]

[What a hypocrite! I used to think he was disciplined and respectful… Now I feel sick!]

[My heart aches for the plaintiff and her son. Ten years with this cold-blooded man while he spoiled another woman…]

Joseph stood frozen, his face drained of all color. He looked as though someone had pulled the life out of him. Julia collapsed into the defendant’s chair, sobbing uncontrollably.

But this time, not a single person sympathized her. Every pair of eyes that landed on her was filled with contempt and disgust.
