My Sister Wants Me to Bear Her Children? Now Watch That Curse Backfire—Sis! Chapter 08

The next day. Xavier woke up from anesthesia.

I walked into the hospital room, and his eyes lit up.

“Maya, what’s wrong with me…”

My face turned serious.

“I have to tell you something unbelievable.”

“Do you remember I said Chloe cursed me and made me suffer all her pregnancy pain?”

“I think she’s transferring it to you now. That’s why you’ve gained weight, have stretch marks, and changed your eating habits.”

Xavier stared at me, stunned.

“That was just a lie you two made up because you were jealous! It can’t be real… this is crazy…”

I took out my phone and played the recording of Chloe’s stream from the day before.

“Look. Chloe was fat and ugly before, but now she’s back to looking young again. And you suddenly started showing pregnancy symptoms.”

“She’s eight months pregnant and danced for two hours with no problem. But you had severe stomach pain and bleeding.”

“I’m not trying to turn you against her. But when she comes to visit, ask her yourself.”

I left Xavier to process it and walked out.

In the hallway, I called Chloe and told her Xavier was sick and wanted to see her.

Naturally, she refused to come.

I threatened her, “If you don’t come, I can’t promise Xavier will keep wearing that ring.”

Chloe reluctantly agreed.

That afternoon, Chloe arrived at the hospital wearing oversized clothes and a black mask.

She walked into the private room and acted like she cared about Xavier,

I listened outside the door. Suddenly, shouting came from inside.

“What kind of witchcraft did you use on me to make me look like this while you stay beautiful?!”

“It was Sister… not me!”

A crash-seems like Xavier throwing a glass.

“I saw Maya throwing up nonstop without being pregnant! Don’t you dare lie! You cursed her, didn’t you?!”

“Now you’re doing it to me! And you blame Maya! I was blind to cheat with a heartless witch like you! You ruined my marriage!”

Chloe’s voice turned sharp.

You all like her better! Why?! Parents, teachers, classmates, even you! I’m prettier than her!”

“Ah! What are you doing?!”

Xavier threatened her fiercely

“Lift this curse right now, or I’ll scratch your face so you can never be pretty again!”

“I told you it wasn’t me! It was Sister! Don’t touch my face!”

After a series of crashes and bangs in the room, Xavier screamed hoarsely.

“Help… help”

I thoughtfully closed the door to keep the noise from spreading.

I would be happy no matter which one of them got hurt!

I found security and went into the room together.

Xavier was lying on his back on the floor, a fruit knife stuck in his body.

His eyes were wide open-he was dead.

Chloe huddled in the corner, looking terrified.

“I didn’t mean to! He pulled the knife first! He fell by accident!”

The security guard rushed out to call the police.

I walked over to Xavier’s body and took a ring off his finger.

Chloe cried bitterly.

“Why did this happen…. it wasn’t supposed to be like this…”

I spoke calmly. “That ring was given to us by a fortune-teller when we were ten. He told us never to take it off, and we listened.”

“But one day, you told me you lost yours. When you came to our house for the seafood dinner Xavier cooked, I grabbed your collar and saw you’d strung it on a necklace under your clothes.”

“Were you afraid I’d see we had the same ring and figure out you were transferring your pregnancy pain to me?”

“Later, when Xavier pushed me into the broken glass, I took off my own ring while treating my cuts… and I discovered the secret.”

“If you hadn’t come to provoke me, I might never have figured it out.”

“I changed the design of the ring and replaced Xavier’s wedding band with it. I made him suffer for you. Why don’t you thank him instead of killing him?”

Sirens wailed outside the window.

I smiled.

My dear sister. I guess I’ll have to visit you in prison now Oh wait-you’re pregnant You can avoid jail time

Then I hope you keep having babies until you can’t anymore. But I wonder if your wealthy old husband will still want you when he sees your

broken body.”

Chloe held her head and screamed wildly-she’d lost her mind.

The police rushed in.

I looked out the window at the sunlight. My good life-this time-was just beginning.

Thank God.
