My Sister Wants Me to Bear Her Children? Now Watch That Curse Backfire—Sis! Chapter 04

To be safe, I had to test it.

I cleaned the house and called Xavier.

“I made a new dinner. Bring Chloe back. I was wrong earlier.”

Xavier snorted coldly.

“Scared now that I mentioned divorce? Good thing Chloe is fine.” If anything had happened to her, I wouldn’t forgive you even if you begged.”

I held back my anger and coaxed him nicely.

After hanging up, I ordered several takeout dishes and transferred them onto plates.

When they returned, Chloe held her waist, her still-flat stomach sticking out slightly, and smiled at me triumphantly.

“Brother-in-law said you realized you were wrong? Good. “We’re sisters, no need to fight.”

“As long as I have a healthy baby, Sister will be happy too, right?”

I forced a smile and put a piece of sweet and sour ribs on her plate.

“Let’s eat first. You must be hungry.”

After taking on Chloe’s symptoms, my taste changed completely.

I hated pork, and sour food made me throw up.

So if I was right, the second Chloe took a bite of the ribs, she would retch!

I watched her nervously, waiting for the proof.

But she hesitated and didn’t pick up her chopsticks.

Xavier spoke up. “Chloe, why aren’t you eating? This is your favorite.”

Chloe hesitated, then picked up the rib and ate it.

The next second, she retched violently!

“Ugh…”

Exactly! The pregnancy symptoms were back on Chloe herself!

I trembled with excitement.

Reborn, I’d finally taken the first step to break free!

Chloe slammed her chopsticks on the plate, splashing soup all over me.

“What did you do to me? Why do I feel so sick?”

I widened my eyes innocently.

“I didn’t do anything. Isn’t nausea normal for pregnant women?”

Chloe panicked. “Impossible! I clearly transferred…”

She stopped halfway as if she’d bitten her own tongue.

Then she quickly changed her tone: “You must’ve put something in the food! Ethan, she’s trying to hurt our baby!”

Chloe clung to Xavier’s arm and accused me.

Xavier frowned at me, looking unhappy.

I explained sadly, “I didn’t put anything. Taste it yourself if you don’t believe me.”

Xavier picked up his fork, ate the steak, and relaxed.

“Haven’t had your cooking in a while. It’s better than before.”

He patted Chloe’s arm.

“Your sister is right. Morning sickness is normal.” Maybe yours just started late.”

Chloe refused to let it go. “No! I need to go to the hospital to check!”

Xavier was a little annoyed.

“We just came from the hospital. The doctor said you’re perfectly healthy. Stop being dramatic.”

Chloe froze, clenched her fists, and stared at me with hatred.

Her gaze fell on my hand, and she looked relieved.

I smiled brightly.

She probably still thought I’d put something in the food.

My dear sister-your suffering has only just begun.
