A second later, the phone beside me suddenly started pinging nonstop too.

And immediately froze.

Because Lucien’s screen was displaying the exact same reader group chat.

Our eyes met.

After several seconds of silence, I slowly pointed at his phone.

“…Which one are you in the group?”

Lucien looked weirdly guilty.

Then answered quietly-

My eyes widened instantly.

“BrightLight?!”

I nearly screamed.

Lucien looked a little embarrassed.

“I only knew your pen name was Annie.”

“I thought it meant darkness instead of your actual name.”

“So I picked BrightLight.”

I stared at him speechlessly.

How did Annie and darkness even sound remotely similar?!
