The moment my lips touched his, Lucien froze completely.
His crimson pupils narrowed instantly into thin slits.
He didn’t blink.
Didn’t breathe.
He just stared down at me kissing him like his entire brain had stopped functioning.
My own heart was beating wildly, but I forced myself to stay calm.
After kissing him hard one more time, I wrapped both hands around his arm and turned back toward Ethan and Vanessa.
“See that?”
“I told you already. I don’t want you anymore.”
“And I have a new boyfriend now.”
I lifted my chin deliberately.
“He’s hotter than you, better than you, and actually knows how to treat people right.”
The floating comments exploded immediately.
“WAIT HOLD ON THIS WASN’T IN THE ORIGINAL PLOT. Annie actually likes Lucien now?!”
“Okay but how does she know he’s good in bed already???”
“ROLL THE FOOTAGE BACK IMMEDIATELY. Are they hiding bonus content from us?!”
“Lucien is trying SO HARD to act calm right now but internally this man is screaming crying throwing up.”
Vanessa and Ethan looked completely frozen.
Especially Ethan.
He stared at Lucien from head to toe, his expression growing uglier and uglier by the second.
“Who the hell are you?” he snapped.
“I’ve never heard Annie mention a boyfriend before.”
Then his eyes narrowed suspiciously.
“You’re lying, aren’t you?”
“I already gave the wedding money to her family. Annie’s coming home with me today no matter what.”
Vanessa’s face flushed red too.
“How can a girl decide her own marriage?”
“Annie, stop being stubborn. Your father already agreed to this relationship.”
Her voice sharpened instantly.
“Are you seriously going to disrespect your family over some random man?”
The moment she said that, my temper finally snapped.
I tightened my grip around Lucien’s arm and started firing back immediately.
“Are you insane?”
“If you like Ethan that much, then YOU marry him.”
“You’re the one who took the money behind my back anyway. Honestly, you two deserve each other.”
“One of you stole my savings to chase another woman overseas, and the other tried to sell me into a marriage just to steal my apartment.”
I laughed coldly.
“What a disgusting pair.”
“You really planned out my entire life without even asking me first?”
“You people seriously have no shame.”
Then I turned toward Lucien without hesitation.
“Lucien.”
“Throw them out.”
“I can’t stand the smell of garbage anymore.”
The second the words left my mouth—
Lucien moved.
Fast.
So fast Ethan barely had time to react before Lucien grabbed him by the collar and threw him straight out the front door.
“WHAT THE HELL—”
BANG.
Ethan hit the hallway floor hard.
Vanessa immediately shrieked and pointed at him.
“You psychopath—!”
Before she could finish, Lucien calmly grabbed the door and shoved her outside too.
BANG.
The apartment door slammed shut.
Silence.
Complete silence.
The floating comments lost their minds.
“OH MY GOD. One command from his girl and this man instantly goes attack-dog mode.”
“Lucien definitely blacked out from happiness the second she kissed him.”
“He’s trying SO hard to look calm but I KNOW this incubus is internally losing his mind right now.”
