My Meek Desk Mate Is the Secret School Tyrant Chapter 16

First of all, that guy was definitely not Orion’s cousin. He looked way older.

Though later it turned out he actually was two months younger than Orion and cried insisting he just had

mature features, not old ones.

Second, news of me slapping Orion had spread beyond school grounds?

Was Orion’s reputation as a pushover public knowledge now? If everyone knew how easy he was to push

around, anyone could take a shot at him.

And that Rusty clearly ran in bad circles. Had Orion dragged him away to protect me?

I pictured Orion getting beaten up alone somewhere. Pathetic. Helpless.

No. My sleepyhead was under my protection now.

I followed them to the sports equipment room of another school. Peered through the crack in the door.

Six or seven guys with dark roots and bleached ends stood in a row. I was stunned. How were there so many

of them?

Rusty said, “Bro, these are the guys who were near your school that day. None of them admit to extorting

anyone.”

One of them stepped forward and bowed. “Bro, we wouldn’t dare touch a student from your school.”

I pressed closer to the door, trying to see. The guy was bowing to Rusty. He was clearly someone important.

That meant Orion wouldn’t get beaten up.

Another one chimed in. “Yeah, yeah. I even bought a girl from your school bubble tea. But she was so shy,

heh. She insisted on giving me twenty bucks for it.”

He scratched his head and grinned, bashful.

Orion, who’d been lounging lazily in a chair the whole time, finally straightened up.

Rusty flicked his wrist. Everyone else scrambled back.

Orion took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose. His expression was ice. “Did she say she wanted bubble tea?”

The guy was baffled. “Girls are shy. It’s basically playing hard to get, right?”

In the next second, Orion stepped forward and kicked him hard in the thigh.

The guy flew. The guy hit the wall. The guy slid down.

“When a girl says no, it means no. It means rejection. It means get lost. Are you deaf?” Orion’s voice was cold, every word deliberate. “Call it playing hard to get again. I dare you.”

The guy howled and tried to defend himself. “She wasn’t even mad, bro. I swear that twenty bucks wasn’t me

asking.”

Orion didn’t waste words. Two more kicks.

The guy went silent. Just a sad little heap on the floor.

Orion pressed a foot lightly onto his shoulder. His tone was indifferent. Utterly oppressive. “You’ve got some nerve. Messing with the bully of our school?”

The guy on the ground, bruised and confused, looked up. “Aren’t you the bully?”

Orion bent down. The smile didn’t touch his eyes. “Not me.”

“Remember this. Her name is Linnea Finch. If you see her, you walk the other way.”

He straightened. Picked up his glasses. Put them back on.

“One more thing.” He turned to Rusty. “Get the twenty bucks back.”

He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out.

Behind him, Rusty was still kicking the guy. “Know your place? Same hair color as me? You dare!”

“Took money from my bro’s girl? Today I’m turning that hair into a mop.”
