My Husband’s Heir Cost Him His Own Daughter Chapter 36

In the car, Carter listened to the driver relay the chaos from the house, his expression grim.

The lights of the airport terminal were just ahead.

On the departures board, the flight to Boston was boarding.

But Savannah had chosen this exact moment to have a complete breakdown.

It was one thing for her to threaten her own life. But to drag the child into it…

“Sir, are we… still going to the airport?” the driver asked quietly.

Carter stared at the terminal, his jaw tight.

After a long moment, he spoke, his voice heavy with defeat.

“Savannah is a madwoman. She’s capable of anything. If I leave now, she might actually kill that child.”

He closed his eyes, his voice a whisper of pure exhaustion.

“Go back.”

“Yes, sir.”

The car made a U-turn and headed back toward the estate.

Halfway there, the butler called again.

“Sir, Miss Dupont lost a lot of blood. She’s been taken to St. Francis Hospital. The child… the child is fine.”

Carter glanced at the time.

The flight to Boston had already departed.
