My Husband Offered $100 Million to Buy Out Our Marriage Chapter 08By Novel7s / May 29, 2026 My Husband Offered $100 Million to Buy Out Our Marriage Chapter 08Julian acted as if he had heard some massive joke and suddenly laughed out of anger. “Very nice?” “Elara, you opened a tiny flower shop here, working yourself to death every day just to earn that meager income, you call this very nice?” “Have you forgotten the kind of life you used to live? Fine dining, luxury, having everything you could ever want, isn’t that better than how you are now!” Hearing this, I felt no ripples in my heart whatsoever. “Mr. Sterling, everyone’s definition of happiness is different.” “You think luxury is happiness, but I think this stable, peaceful life right now is what I want.” “We haven’t been on the same path for a long time.” Julian’s face suddenly darkened, his eyes becoming sharp. “Not on the same path?” “Elara, when we got married back then, you agreed to it yourself!” “I told you long ago that I couldn’t give you a monogamous relationship; you chose to stay yourself, what are you complaining about now?!” “All your grievances are you bringing trouble upon yourself!” He still had this high–and–mighty tone, as if all the faults were mine alone. I looked at him and suddenly found it very ridiculous. After so many years, he had never reflected on himself. In his eyes, all my pain and struggles were because I was greedy, because I brought trouble upon myself. Since that was the case, what more was there for me to say? Saying more was useless, it would only add to the annoyance. I stopped looking at him, turned to walk to the door, pulled the glass door, and gave a blunt eviction order. “Mr. Sterling, please leave.” “My shop still has business to do.” Seeing this, Julian quickly stepped forward, wanting to stop me. “Elara, you must come with me today!” His tone was very fierce, carrying a threat. I ignored him and forcefully pulled the glass door shut. With a “bang,” it cut off his line of sight, and also cut off the suffocating aura he brought with him. Outside the door, Julian’s fist heavily smashed against the glass, making a dull sound. I didn’t turn back, nor did I linger, turning around to return to the shop to continue tending to my flowers. The glass door was banged loudly. Julian’s roaring voice carried through the door panel. “Elara! Open the door!” “Do you think you can hide?” “I’m telling you, if you don’t come with me, I’ll smash your shop!!” I ignored him, continuing to keep my head down and prune the floral branches. Julian always did what he said he would do, and he was genuinely capable of doing something like smashing a shop. But I didn’t want to compromise. This flower shop was the entire anchor of my current life, my safe haven away from the past. I couldn’t fall back into that quagmire again because of him. Not long after, a noisy commotion came from outside, along with the roar of a tractor engine. My heart skipped a beat, and I walked to the window, pulling back a corner of the curtain to look outside. I saw Julian standing by the road, with a beat–up pickup truck parked beside him. Several burly men in black clothes stood behind him, looking like they were there with ill intent. A crowd of onlookers had already gathered around, pointing at our flower shop. Julian looked up, his gaze meeting mine directly. A cold smirk curled at the corner of his mouth, and he gave a signal to the burly men beside him. Those people immediately stepped forward, preparing to physically smash the shop. I took a deep breath and pushed open the glass door to step outside. “Julian Sterling.” My voice was very calm, without the slightest bit of fear. Julian motioned for the burly men to stop, looking at me. with a paranoid expression. “What? Thought it through? Willing to go back with me?” I shook my head. “I won’t go back with you.” “If you want to smash the shop, then smash it.” “I’m just reminding you, this is a society governed by law; if you smash my shop, you will have to bear the corresponding legal responsibilities.” “Furthermore, even if you smash this place, I can still find another place to start over again.” “Don’t ever think you can trap me again.” Julian didn’t expect me to be so unyielding, pausing for a moment, his face becoming even uglier. “Elara, what exactly do you want?” “I’ve already gone to this extent, and you still refuse to turn back?” I looked at him and asked in return. “Turn back? Turn back to where? Back to that home filled with betrayal and hurt?” “Julian, I’ve had enough of those days, I won’t go back again!”
