My Family Stole My Alpha, I Married Someone Stronger Chapter 08

When Mom called me in a furious rage, I knew Andrew had discovered the truth.

Andrew was the fifth man Brianna had stolen from me.

And the only one I’d ever gotten as far as an engagement with.

Throughout those years of fighting over men, the ones Brianna took from me hadn’t been entirely free of

guilt.

Some had even wavered, wondering if they’d made the wrong choice. To prove they weren’t right for me, Brianna had gone so far as to get pregnant by them.

Back then, those men had been madly in love with her, convinced they were destined to be together.

But whenever I started a new relationship, Brianna would suddenly lose interest in the man she’d stolen from

Once she stopped loving them, there was no reason to keep the so-called fruits of their love, either.

She was like a vicious curse, ruthlessly cutting off every chance I had at happiness.

But she’d cursed herself, too. After repeatedly mistreating her own body, she’d finally paid the price.

“This is all your fault for running your mouth! Now Andrew wants to break their mate bond and strip her of

her Luna title!”

Mom was practically shrieking through the phone.

“They’d already agreed to undergo IVF in the second half of this year! And now even that isn’t going to

happen!”

“How can you be so cruel? Can you really not stand seeing your own sister happy?!”

I held my phone to my ear, listening to her hysterical tirade. Yet, strangely enough, I felt frighteningly calm.

When she finally ran out of steam, I answered in an unhurried voice.

“I think I’m doing just fine.”

“Look, haven’t I already let her enjoy ten good years?”

Silence fell over the other end of the line for a few seconds. Clearly, Mom hadn’t expected me to react that

way.

Then she launched into another hysterical round of cursing.

By the end, she could no longer contain herself and broke down sobbing.

“No matter how wrong your sister was in the past, she’s still your own sister! You share the same blood. You’re family, no matter what! How can you not wish her well?”

“Even if she stole your mate back then, you still found someone better afterward, didn’t you? If it weren’t for her, would you have two beautiful children now? For the sake of all that, I’m begging you as your mother!”

She choked back a few sobs before finally revealing what she really wanted.

“Go explain things to Andrew! Tell him you made all that stuff up!”

“Tell him you invented those lies to get revenge on Brianna because you couldn’t let go of what happened!”

I couldn’t help laughing coldly.

“Mom, yes, I was the one who exposed Brianna’s dirty secrets. But Andrew was the one who investigated

everything and uncovered the truth himself.”

I said nothing more. All I could hear from the other end was Mom’s muffled sobbing.

After a long pause, I asked another question.

“You blame me for running my mouth now. But when Brianna was doing all those things, why didn’t you stop

her?”

Mom answered almost instinctively.

“Because every man you found afterward was better than the last, and that made Brianna start having those

thoughts in the first place…”

She abruptly stopped speaking.

I let out a cold laugh. “So, in your eyes, what she did was right?”

“If you really think she did nothing wrong, then go find Andrew and defend her with that same confidence.

Why are you yelling at me?”

With that, I hung up.

Finally, some peace and quiet.

A month later, Andrew came to find me and told me he’d broken his mate bond with Brianna.

He looked much more haggard than before. The dark circles beneath his eyes were impossible to hide, no

matter how hard he tried.

Standing beside me were my son, Ryan, and my daughter, Mia, each holding one of my hands.

The two children stood quietly, neither fussing nor interrupting our conversation.

Andrew looked at them, then suddenly gave a bitter smile.

“Katie, if I hadn’t lost my mind back then and made those terrible mistakes, do you think… I might be the one

standing beside you now? Would these two children be calling me Dad?”

The moment they heard that, both children grew wary.

Ryan tilted his little face up and looked at him seriously.

“No, Alpha. I only have one dad, and he loves my mommy so much.”

Mia nodded in agreement.

“Before we were even born, we chose our mommy and daddy. My brother and I chose the parents we have

now.”

She tilted her head, thought for a moment, then added with complete seriousness, “If it were you, neither my

brother nor I would choose you.”

Children had no filter, and their innocent words cut deeper than any insult ever could.

Andrew gave another bitter smile but said nothing.

After a moment, he finally murmured, “Goodbye, Katie.”

I didn’t respond. I simply watched in silence as he turned and walked away.

The man who had once been a proud, confident Alpha now looked utterly defeated, his lonely figure

resembling a lone wolf separated from his pack.

I took my children’s hands and continued walking home.

We had just reached the area near Lycan Castle when someone suddenly darted out from the side.
