My Family Stole My Alpha, I Married Someone Stronger Chapter 06

As soon as I got home, my phone started vibrating.

Brianna had sent me three messages in a row.

“When did you get married, Katie? And how did you become the Lycan Queen?! Why didn’t you tell anyone in

the family?”

“Mom fainted because of you. Do you even realize that?!”

“Andrew told me Nicholas is even better than he is, both in status and wealth. But do you really know him?

Do you have any idea how unfaithful rich Alphas can be? And he’s a Lycan, on top of that. Werewolves and

Lycans have never gotten along. Those pureblood Lycan bastards can be terrifying. I’m just worried you’ll get

deceived.”

I almost burst out laughing.

Brianna actually had the nerve to lecture me about wealthy, powerful Alphas being unfaithful.

The first time, she’d used those exact words to warn me to be careful around Andrew. Before long, my fiancé

had become her husband.

The second time was barely an hour ago, when she’d gone against my wishes and arranged a blind date with a disgraced former Alpha who’d been banished from his pack for his notorious reputation.

Then, in front of everyone, she’d brazenly claimed I’d already agreed to marry him.

Where was her concern about me being deceived then?

Now she was playing the understanding, caring older sister all over again.

She wasn’t worried about me getting deceived. She was worried about losing control over me for good.

I couldn’t be bothered to reply. Just as I was about to block her, another message popped up on my screen.

“When exactly did you and Nicholas get together? Are those two children really yours?”

Staring at the message, I suddenly remembered the last text Andrew had sent me on the day we were supposed to celebrate our engagement ten years ago.

Meeting your sister made me understand what real love feels like. Now I know this is the Moon Goddess’s plan. Sometimes, love just doesn’t make sense, Katie. Don’t blame me.

And don’t ever hold on to any hope for us again.

And now he actually had the nerve to ask when I’d gotten together with another man.

I stared at the screen, thinking he must genuinely have something wrong with him. Then I blocked both him

and his wife without another thought.

Early the next morning, I had barely stepped out of the Lycan Castle when I spotted Brianna standing outside,

wrapped in the bitter cold.

I wasn’t surprised she’d found me so quickly.

The Lycan Castle was one of the most magnificent and conspicuous landmarks in the Lycan Realm. With

Brianna’s connections, finding out where I lived couldn’t have been difficult.

She wore a beautifully tailored wool coat, pearl studs, and flawless makeup. Her graceful movements and

polished appearance were as impeccable as ever.

The moment she saw me, she greeted me with a warm smile.

“Katie, why are you walking out here by yourself? Why didn’t Nicholas arrange a driver for you? He’s not

being very considerate, is he?”

She stepped closer, acting as though we were still the sisters who used to tell each other everything.

“Give me his contact information later. I’ll have a word with him for you. You’re the Lycan King’s Queen now.

How can he let you put up with this kind of treatment?”

I stopped and frowned, “What are you doing here?”

Brianna immediately stepped forward and took my hand affectionately.

Her expression was so natural that you’d think nothing had happened at the house the day before.

“I’m here to see you, of course! Yesterday’s mess must have been frightening for you. I admit I was wrong

about Derek, and I never expected him to bring up marriage so directly. I honestly thought you two would just

meet and get to know each other.”

I pulled my hand away, “You thought?”

“You didn’t know about the cash gift you’d prepared for Derek’s son? You didn’t know you were lying through

your teeth in front of everyone when you claimed I’d agreed to marry him?”

Brianna’s lashes fluttered, and tears began to gather in her eyes again.

“Katie, I really was only trying to help you.”

“You were already married with children, yet you refused to tell the family anything about your life. Derek

seemed like a pretty good match, and I didn’t want you to miss such a good opportunity, so I thought I’d help bring you two together. I just didn’t realize I’d gone too far.”

Suddenly, I understood why Mom had always favored Brianna over me.

Because Brianna could never do anything wrong.

She was always so understanding, always so considerate of everyone else.

Even when she genuinely made a mistake, it was simply a case of good intentions gone wrong, something everyone was expected to forgive.

And if I insisted on holding her accountable, all she had to do was look at me with tear-filled eyes.

Suddenly, everyone would think I was being unreasonable, immature, and incapable of appreciating my own

sister’s kindness.

I looked at her and finally decided I was done playing along.

“What exactly do you want?”
