My Family Stole My Alpha, I Married Someone Stronger Chapter 05

Nicholas’s Beta and two Lycan warriors stood at the entrance to the pack house.

Each warrior stood beside one of the children, and both little ones eagerly peeked into the house with wide,

curious eyes.

Their features were so strikingly similar to mine that anyone could tell they were my children.

The smug look on Derek’s face instantly froze, while Andrew’s previously dismissive expression turned

grave.

Nicholas’s gaze swept over my mother and Brianna before finally settling on Derek, his eyes turning icy.

“Did you just say that, out of respect for my wife’s sincerity, you’d graciously agree to marry her?”

He let out a low chuckle, as though he’d just heard the funniest joke in the world, but there wasn’t the

slightest hint of amusement in his eyes.

“What exactly has my wife done that requires your approval?”

Brianna hurried forward, trying to explain.

“Katie has always had issues with the family. She’s never been willing to tell us what she’s been doing all

these years, so we assumed she was still single. We only wanted to help her find a suitable mate.”

As she spoke, she turned toward me, her tone carrying a hint of affectionate reproach.

“Katie, honestly, how could you keep your marriage and children a secret from us, then come home alone to

attend a blind date?”

I let out a cold laugh, my gaze sweeping over her hypocritical face.

“Did I ever ask you to arrange a blind date for me?”

I turned to Mom and confronted her directly, “Did I ask you to set up today’s blind date?”

“Was I the one who prepared that envelope? When did I ever say I was interested in Derek?”

Brianna’s eyes immediately filled with tears. She looked at Mom timidly and whispered, “Mom…”

Mom glanced at me, then guiltily looked away without saying a word.

Those few seconds of silence completely crushed the last bit of hope I’d held on to.

Nicholas slipped an arm around my shoulders from behind, his warm palm resting steadily against me. His

touch gave me a reassuring sense of strength.

His tone remained teasing, as though everything happening before us were nothing more than a tiresome

farce.

“Katie, why don’t you introduce me to your family?”

He turned to Brianna, a cold, mocking smile playing on his lips.

“So you’re the older sister who seduced her own sister’s mate? It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m afraid I didn’t bring you a gift, and I have no intention of getting you one in the future, either. I hope you’ll understand.”

Brianna’s face instantly paled.

Andrew immediately stepped forward and shielded her, his expression darkening.

“King Nicholas, show some respect! You may be the Lycan King, but this is my pack, and this is a family

gathering. Outsiders aren’t welcome here.”

The moment the words left his mouth, the overwhelming pressure of the Lycan King suddenly erupted from

Nicholas.

“Oh, really?” Nicholas replied with an unconcerned smile.

“Then it’s a good thing I don’t care.”

Andrew’s wolf instinctively recoiled under the crushing dominance. His expression changed, and his

breathing faltered for a split second.

As an Alpha, he might have been powerful enough to command respect from his own pack members, but

compared to Nicholas, his strength was insignificant.

Nicholas wasn’t just a Lycan. He was the Lycan King, an apex predator so powerful that even the Alpha King

wouldn’t dare offend or provoke him lightly.

Nicholas couldn’t even be bothered to spare Andrew another glance. Instead, he raised an eyebrow at Derek,

who was already sweating profusely in terror.

Derek, the disgraced former Alpha who had been stripped of his title and banished from his pack, had long

since lost the power he once wielded,

Now, he didn’t even dare breathe too loudly in Nicholas’s presence. Trembling, he stumbled backward a few

steps before turning and fleeing through the door.

Only then did Nicholas leisurely withdraw his gaze.

“Now that Derek has left, there are no outsiders in this pack house. You’re the older daughter’s mate, and I’m

the younger daughter’s mate. By what logic am I the outsider here?”

Andrew’s face remained livid, but he couldn’t come up with a single word in response.

Nicholas tilted his head slightly and whispered to me.

“Darling, look at the way he’s staring at me. It’s terrifying. He looks like he wants to tear me apart and

swallow me whole.”

He deliberately paused before turning to Andrew with a half-smile.

“Strange, isn’t it? Wasn’t he desperate for you to get married as soon as possible? Why does he look so unhappy now?”

“Unless he’s harboring some thoughts he knows he shouldn’t have?”

“That’s not what this is!” Brianna hurried to interject. “We were just…”

“Just what?” I cut in coldly. “You simply can’t stand seeing me live a better life than you?”

Brianna opened her mouth, but not a single word came out.

Mom seemed ready to defend herself, too, but the moment she met my eyes, filled with nothing but disappointment, every excuse died in her throat.

Only then did she realize that she couldn’t even come up with a single explanation.

The air in the room seemed to solidify, the suffocating silence making it difficult to breathe.

I didn’t want to look at any of them again. Turning to Nicholas, I said, “Let’s go.”

This time, no one dared stop us.

As we reached the door, the two children immediately ran over, happily taking Nicholas’s and my hands, one

on each side.

My son, Ryan, tilted his little face up and peered curiously at the people inside.

“Mommy, is that lady in there Grandma?”

I lowered my head, gently patted his hair, and answered calmly.

“No.”

A dull thud sounded behind us, as though someone had collapsed to the floor.

A moment later, Brianna’s panicked cries rang out.

“Mom!”

This time, I didn’t look back.
