Tess bit her finger, gazing at him with sultry, doe-like eyes.

She feigned innocence, pointing at his bulge. “Jasper… what’s that? I’m so curious.”

Jasper’s breathing turned ragged at once. He grabbed Tess’s wrists and pushed her back onto the sofa. “You want to know? I’ll show you.”

Tess giggled coyly. “But what if someone gets jealous…”

“No one will. Let’s go to the room.”

With that, Jasper lifted her up and headed straight for my bedroom.

The camera stayed fixed on the empty living room after that, only faint lewd moans drifting out

from down the hallway.

Everyone knew exactly what they’d done in my room.

The whole venue erupted in shock and disgust.

“Oh my god! Jasper and Tess have been sleeping together all along!”

“Scum man and shameless homewrecker! They even tried swapping the bride openly at the

wedding!”

“Disgusting! I’m cutting all business ties with the Hale family from today!”

“Count me in too! Their character is absolutely rotten!”

“Cancel all contracts immediately!”

Seeing the business partners present ready to pull out one after another, Martha rushed forward

and yanked the power plug out with a bang.

She then pointed an accusing finger at me. “You witch! You installed surveillance cameras in your

own house?”

Slap!

I slapped her hard across the face without hesitation.

“It’s your son who’s the shameless one. You’re no longer my mother-in-law, so don’t talk down to

me like that.”

“I bought that house with my own money. Why wouldn’t I have the right to install cameras?”

Mom charged over and started hitting and scratching me wildly.

“You foolish girl! Why would you expose all this? Do you want to ruin your own sister?”

Dad gritted his teeth in anger too.

“Your sister has suffered enough. If she hadn’t gotten lost all those years ago, she’d never have

ended up like this!”

“We owe her this much. Can’t you just let her have her way?”

I shoved Mom away and stared coldly at Dad.

“You owe her, but I don’t!”

“I spent years working my hardest, earning money, helping you search for her.”

“But once we found her, you only had eyes for her, completely ignoring me.”

“Has her life been hard? Has mine been easy?”

“I work nonstop, meeting clients until two in the morning every day.”

“I’ve drunk myself to stomach bleeding just to close a single business contract.”

“I bought you a luxury villa, gave you money and peace of mind to keep searching for her.”

“But when I was lying alone in the hospital sick-where were you?”

“You were over there celebrating her birthday, blowing out candles for her!”

My parents fell silent.

They knew every word I said was the unvarnished truth.

Seeing them speechless, Tess began to panic.

She grabbed Mom’s hand and dropped to her knees with a thud. “Mom, it’s Elaine’s jealousy! She’s

trying to destroy me! You have to save me!”

When Mom hesitated, Tess scrambled over to Jasper. “Jasper, you said I was your favorite! Say

something for me!”

Jasper looked at her like she was a plague. He ripped his arm free and slapped her across the face with full force. “You shameless hussy! This is all your fault for seducing me!”

The blow was brutal.

Tess fell heavily to the floor, her cheek swelling up like a steamed bun.

With no one left willing to stand by her side, she held her stinging face, spat out a mouthful of

blood, and laughed bitterly and crazily.

“Elaine Brooks, you win. You never once treated me like your real sister.”

“Just like everyone else, you only wanted to laugh at my downfall!”

I stared straight at her.

“If I’d never seen you as my sister, I would’ve told our parents about your abortion the second I

found out. I chose to hide it for you.”

“All the designer clothes you wear, your fancy princess bedroom, your luxury bags-who do you think bought all of that for you?”

“Do you really think our dad, a regular office clerk, and our stay-at-home mom could afford your extravagant lifestyle?”

“It’s you who’s greedy and ungrateful. You set your heart on stealing everything that belongs to

me!”

I turned my head away, no longer willing to look at her.

From this moment on, we were strangers.

The bald man stepped forward, grabbed Tess by the hair. “Pay me back my money, or I’ll have you locked up for good!”

He pulled out his phone and dialed the police.

Minutes later, officers arrived at the banquet hall.

The lead policeman frowned the moment he saw Tess.

“You again?”
