My Cold-Blooded Alpha Came Home and Found His Younger Self Calling Me Wife Chapter 09

After laying down the rules, I went straight to the master bedroom and left the two of them in the living room to consider their options. The next morning, I opened the door to find the living room spotless. Adrian sat at the left end of the dining table in a new suit, reading the financial news and the latest Pack Council

briefings.

Young Adrian sat at the other end in an oversized T-shirt I had found for him, spreading jam on a piece of toast. They had put as much distance between them as the table allowed. Neither looked at the other, but

neither had left.

I walked over and sat down. Young Adrian pushed the toast toward me.

“Fresh from the toaster. Just the right temperature.”

He shot Adrian a provocative glance.

“Unlike some people, I can make breakfast without having an assistant deliver it.”

Adrian did not look up. He simply placed a glass of warm milk beside my hand.

“Your gallery’s booth at Art Basel Miami Beach has been confirmed. I also transferred money into your personal account. If you see anything you like at next week’s auction, buy it.”

His tone stayed calm, but every sentence emphasized what young Adrian could not provide, at least not yet. The boy tightened his grip on his toast and muttered, “So what if you’re rich?” The faintest smirk touched Adrian’s lips.

I drank the milk, took a bite of the toast, and accepted both of their attention without hesitation.

“Thank you.”

From that day on, the three of us settled into a strange but surprisingly stable arrangement. During the day, Adrian went to the law firm and pack headquarters, continuing to provide me with money, connections, and security. Young Adrian stayed in the apartment, handled the housework, experimented with new recipes, and sometimes came with me to Pioneer Square to sort and arrange the exhibits.

Whenever I came home, young Adrian met me at the door and took my coat. If he caught exhaustion in my scent, he massaged my shoulders. Adrian sat on the couch with a cold expression, watching his younger self fight for my attention.

They could not stand each other, but neither dared break my rules.
