My Billionaire Built An Empire For Me Then Broke My Face For Her Chapter 10

The Stirlings of the Upper East Side were the undisputed pinnacle of American aristocracy, an elite echelon that most people could only ever dream of reaching.

All the color drained from Julian’s face.

“That’s impossible. She can’t be a Sterling.”

“If she was really a Sterling heiress, why would she waste her time as some D-list nobody?”

He snapped his head up to glare at me. “Why didn’t you tell me?!”

“If you had told me, I never would have…”

“Never would have cheated on me?” My voice cut through the air.

Julian was rendered completely speechless.

A faint smirk touched my lips. “You once told me that those who look down on actors are simply projecting their own inner darkness.”

“I’m giving those exact words back to you now.”

I didn’t give him another glance. Instead, I turned toward John. “Let’s go.”

Before following me, John cast one last, thoroughly mocking look over his shoulder at Julian.

Julian sat slumped on the terminal floor in a daze. It suddenly dawned on him that he had taken Evelyn’s patience for granted. He had mistaken her desire for privacy about her family background as a

lack of confidence. He had used her love for him as a leash to tie her down, only to end up wrapping that very same leash around his own neck. And now, it was choking him.

Onboard the private jet, I broke the silence. “John.”

“Hmm?”

“Thank you for flying out to Los Angeles tonight.”

“It’s what I’m supposed to do. You’re my fiancée.”

For reasons I couldn’t quite explain, a massive weight lifted off my chest. After everything, I finally had someone to lean on. Even though I had no idea where this marriage was ultimately headed, he was standing by my side right now. And for now, that was more than enough.

After we landed, the car drove for forty minutes through the winding estate roads before arriving at our historic manor in the Hamptons.

My parents were waiting for us at the front door; they had clearly been standing there for hours. Seeing their familiar faces, my eyes instantly welled up with tears.

“Dad, Mom… I’m home.”

Back inside the mansion, I recounted every detail of what I had endured over the past few years. Listening to my story, my parents were shaking with sheer outrage.

My father pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

“Get legal and wealth management on the line. Pull up everything on Blackwood Media. Call in their outstanding loans and freeze their

corporate accounts immediately.”

“They dared to touch my daughter. Let’s see if they can survive this.”
