My Alpha Made Me Bleed for My Sister Chapter 03

My Alpha Made Me Bleed for My Sister Chapter 03

That line made something go dark in Adrian’s eyes instantly.

“Elara, since when did you get this calculating?”

“You need to be punished for talking back.”

“The whip, or apologize an apology to Serena. Your choice.”

Either way, he wanted to see blood.

I grabbed the fruit knife off the nightstand and dragged it across my wrist without hesitating.

Skin split open, hot blood spraying out, staining the pale sheets red.

Serena shrieked and stumbled back.

“Are you insane?!”

Adrian’s face changed too, his eyes wide with shock.

“Is this apology enough?”

My voice stayed even.

Serena whined, “Adrian only asked you to apologize. Why’d you have to go and do this? It’s like we’re bullying you. You scared me half to death!”

She burrowed into his arms.

“See, I told you she’s faking it. She didn’t even flinch cutting her own wrist.”

“Serena, don’t be scared.”

He wrapped an arm around her, murmuring comfort, but the look he gave me had frozen overover

completely.

“Making a scene like this – this, you should be ashamed of yourself. It’s about time you learned a lesson.”

Adrian glanced at me once, sighed.

“You’ve paid your dues in blood too. Let’s call this settled.”

“Tomorrow’s the bonding banquet. Clean yourself up. Don’t embarrass me again.”

He walked off with his arm around Serena, without a backward glance.

I’d lost too much blood. I could feel the hundredth silver line on my back nearly finished forming-soon

finished, which meant I’d be crossing over to another worldworld soon.

There was one more secret. secret I’d never told him, afraid it would break his heart.

My mother had told me, right before she died, that if anyone in our bloodline endured a hundred fatal wounds for someone else, the Moon Goddess herself would come to take them to another world.

I’d been afraid that if Adrian knew, he wouldn’t be able to let me go.

Now I saw how wrong I’d been.

I lay on the cold floor and suddenly remembered.

Three years agoearlier, Adrian had been ambushed by a rival Pack and buried alive in a mudslide, his life hanging by a thread.

He’d survived, and he thought it was just down to his own toughness.

He never knew it was me who’d dug clawed him out like a madwoman, my fingers shredded and bleeding.

Back then, Adrian wasn’t the Adrian he was today.

I remembered a one night I randomly said I wanted casually mentioned wanting hot milk, and he drove clear across the city to bring it back, back still steaming.

I remembered an ordinary dinner when he casually pulled out an antique necklace and said, like it was nothingnothing and said, “Saw it at an auction. Thought it’d suit you.”

And that birthday when I mentioned wanting to see snow, and he cancelled every meeting he had on his calendar and flew me to the Alps.

That day, the snow really did fall into our joined hands.

Only later, the snow melted.

And so did everything elseelse between us.

I was jolted awake from sleep by Adrian walking in with people trailing behind him.

Time to get married.”

I had no interest in getting married.

But I was leaving soon anyway, so it didn’t matter where I went.

At the Pack hall doors, Serena came up to loop her arm through mine, all sweetness.

“Elara, let me help you change into your dress.”

I pulled my hand away, flat.

“I’ve got it.”

She pouted immediately.

Adrian shot me a look, his voice cold.

“She’s just trying to be nice. Don’t be ungrateful.”

He gestured, and two Pack guards took hold of me, marching me into the dressing room with Serena.

The door shut, and two maids ripped my clothes off without any care.

The bandages on my back were torn away in one yank.

The wound hadn’t healed yet, and the my flesh tore open raw.

Pain blacked out my vision. I had no strength left to fightfight back.

In the chaos, someone kicked me in the stomach.

My body, still weak from Serena’s ice dive, coughed up another mouthful of blood-flecked foam.

Serena leaned down, laughing softly in my ear.

“Elara, tonight, everyone’s going to know exactly what kind of filthy Omega you are.”

By the time I was half-dragged into the middle of the banquet hall, the whole room went dead silent.
