My $10M Supercar, Her Pink Cat Nest Chapter 05

My $10M Supercar, Her Pink Cat Nest Chapter 05 The Top-Floor Office

I paid with my own card, picked up my bag, and went straight to Bennett Group.

No one at the front desk dared stop me.

I took the private elevator to the top floor and headed for Conrad’s office.

The door was shut.

I kicked it open.

The sound slammed through the room.

Conrad stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Fiona was right beside him, close enough that their shoulders nearly touched. They had been speaking softly before I came in, their posture intimate enough to make the meaning obvious.

Both of them startled.

“Yasmin Sterling! What do you think you’re doing?”

Conrad’s face changed at once.

Fiona stepped back, eyes flickering.

I smiled.

“What’s wrong, Mr. Bennett? Did I interrupt something tender?”

“We were talking about work.”

His impatience showed all over his face.

“Work? Do I look blind to you? Or did you forget what normal distance looks like?”

Fiona rushed to smooth things over.

“Ms. Sterling, please don’t misunderstand. Mr. Bennett was only walking me through some contract details

I cut her off.

“Who are you to speak here?”

Conrad’s expression darkened the second I snapped at her.

“Enough. Why are you here?”

I tossed the frozen card onto his desk.

It landed with a sharp slap.

“This card. That office. The villa you bought her. Conrad, explain.”

His gaze shifted.

“Fiona carned those things through her work. The company values her. As for your card, consider it a small lesson. Go home. I’ll unfreeze it when I have time.”

I laughed.

He did not even bother making the lie sound believable.

“A lesson? Conrad, have you forgotten who I am? Do you think I need the money in your card? I used it because allowing you to spend on me gave you face.”

I glanced at Fiona.

“Ms. Lane is remarkable, though. Six months at Bennett Group, and she’s already in a position most people can’t reach after a decade. A sports car worth tens of millions, a downtown villa, and now a top-floor office+ all called work rewards. Anyone hearing that would think she landed Bennett Group a trillion-dollar deal.”

My smile turned colder.

“But it doesn’t look like her talent is in business. It looks like her real skill is pleasing the boss.”

By then, the commotion had pulled executives and employees into the hallway.

Faces appeared near the doorway, all trying to watch without being caught.

Conrad moved toward me, trying to grab my wrist.

“This is the company. Can you stop acting insane?”

“Don’t touch me.”

I pulled away, unable to hide my disgust.

“You make me sick.”

Fiona’s eyes went red right on cue.

“Ms. Sterling, you’ve really misunderstood us. Mr. Bennett and I are innocent. You can’t accuse me like this.”

She swayed slightly, tears bright in her eyes, fragile and stubborn in that practiced way.

Conrad’s face turned iron-gray.

“There has to be a limit to your temper. Fiona is diligent and serious about her work. Everything she received was recognition from the company.”

I clapped.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

The sound was slow and crisp.

I was angry enough to laugh.

A man could become invincible if he became shameless enough.

“Since Mr. Bennett is so confident in Ms. Lane’s performance, I won’t waste my breath arguing.”

I looked toward the door.

“Let’s ask everyone else what they think of these rewards.”

Then I raised my voice.

“Bring it in.”
