Live Wedding: I Married My Fiancé’s Rival on the Spot Chapter 09

Mason went completely hollow. “You… what?”

Mrs. Morgan shot up. Slammed a medical report into his chest. “See for yourself!”

Mason caught it frantically. A pregnancy test report.

“Selena’s pregnant.”

“She was going to tell you at the wedding herself!”

“She brought the report to show us early, specifically warning us not to tell you. Said she wanted to

see your reaction firsthand.”

Mason looked up sharply at Iris.

“You knew too? Why didn’t you tell me?!”

Iris’s face went white. Backed up instinctively.

“I… I knew, but I didn’t think it had anything to do with today’s matter-”

“Nothing to do with it?!” Mrs. Morgan laughed coldly. “You two signed marriage contracts on a national livestream. All of Chicago saw! With Selena’s temper, do you think she’ll keep this child?!”

Mason’s vision blurred.

The words on the report jumped out one by one, needles stabbing his eyes.

Two days ago, they were still discussing wedding details.

Selena leaning in his arms. Several times starting to speak, stopping. Finally, just smiling.

“Nothing. I’ll tell you on the wedding day.”

He hadn’t paid attention then.

Thought she was just nervous.

Turned out she wanted to surprise him.

And he’d given her the biggest joke in all of Chicago.

Mason’s knees buckled. Dropped heavily to the ground.

“I… I didn’t know it would be like this…”

Mrs. Morgan’s voice was already choked.

“Selena’s such a good girl. She always wanted a wedding truly her own, but for you,

to this joint wedding.”

“And you?”

she still agreed

“You held another woman’s hand on a city-wide livestream, swore vows, signed contracts, and

made her watch under the cameras!”

“Her mother was lying in a hospital bed watching the livestream!”

“You hurt the living. You destroyed the dignity of the dead. You signed a marriage contract with your brother’s widow-how is Ethan supposed to rest in peace?!”

“I’m going to find her!” Mason suddenly scrambled up from the floor. Staggered toward the exit.

Iris reached for him instinctively. “Mason, calm down—”

“Get away from me!” Mason shoved her hard. Iris slammed into the shoe cabinet. Cried out in pain.

Old Man Morgan roared, “Stop him!”

Two bodyguards immediately pinned Mason left and right.

He struggled desperately. Eyes terrifyingly red. Mouth repeating only one sentence.

“Let me go!”

“She’s carrying my child, and she married someone else I’m going to find her!”

Mrs. Morgan walked over. Slapped him hard across the face.

“Mason, what good is going now?”

“You can hold another woman’s hand and swear vows, Why can’t she marry someone else?”

Old Man Morgan sat back on the sofa. Lit a cigar.

Long after, he spoke heavily, “Two things.”

“First, tomorrow you go to the Vitale family personally. Whatever it takes, win Selena back.”

“Second-”

He looked at Iris. Eyes completely cold.

“Your marriage contract with Iris. Terminated immediately.”

Iris dropped to her knees with a thud.

“Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Morgan, please let Mason and me be together!”

“After Ethan died, Mason was always the one caring for me. We’re true to each other!”

Mrs. Morgan looked down at her. Face disappointment.

“When did we ever mistreat you?”

“If you truly had someone you loved, we’d send you off in glory. But look at the stupid things you’ve

done!”

Iris’s crying choked off.

Mason was already dazed. Hearing these words was like a bucket of ice water dumped over his head.

He slowly turned to look at Iris.

“Didn’t you say if you didn’t marry me, they’d take everything from you, kick you out of the Morgan family?”

“You cried, begging me to save you.”

“You said only if I married you could you survive.”

The fragility on Iris’s face finally cracked.

“Mason, listen to me, they did say before-”

“Enough!” Mrs. Morgan played a recording directly. Her previous conversation with Iris.

“As long as you find someone you love down the road, the Morgan family will prepare a generous

wedding gift for you.”

“You’ll always be a Morgan.”

Mrs. Morgan looked at Iris coldly.

Atada por el amor: La ternura de mi marido discapacitado

“I was afraid I’d forget in my old age, so I recorded it specially. Didn’t want to wrong you

“And you turned around and spun lies about ‘being kicked out of the family’, ‘losing your family’ to

trick Mason.”

Mason’s face went completely white.

He suddenly remembered. Every time Iris came crying to him, she only sobbed, “They bullied me again.”

Never said one concrete sentence.

It was he who filled in the blanks.

He who jumped into the trap step by step.

Mason suddenly laughed low.

For a lie.

He’d personally pushed Selena into Adrian’s arms.
