I Was The Wrong Girl In His Bed For Three Years Chapter 12

The suite had two bathrooms.

Wesley took a quick shower and posted himself in the bedroom to keep an eye on me.

I stayed in the bathroom with the water running, trying to pull myself together.

Over the sound of the water, I heard the doorbell.

It kept ringing, sharp and urgent.

Wesley got up from the bed and opened the door in his robe.

Graham was standing in the hallway, completely drenched. His suit clung to him, rain dripping

from his hair, and he looked like he’d been out in it for hours.

They stared at each other. The hallway went dead quiet.

Graham’s gaze moved from Wesley’s bathrobe to the room behind him.

His eyes went dark.

“Where is she.”

Wesley recognized him.

He thought about how hard I’d been crying. His jaw set.

“Why are you looking for my girlfriend?”

Graham went rigid. Something dangerous bled into his eyes, slow and dark, and his breathing turned ragged.

“Your girlfriend?”

“Yeah.”

Wesley filled the doorway.

“So back off.”

“She doesn’t want you around.”

Graham grabbed him by the collar. His voice was shaking.

“Because she’s my wife.”

His fist connected with a sickening crack.

Wesley swung back.

They collided in a blur of fists.

I shut off the water, threw on a robe, and ran out.

“Stop!”

Graham didn’t even pause.

I was crying again. I couldn’t help it. I threw myself at him, grabbing his arm.

“Graham!”

“He’s my cousin!”

Graham stopped. His eyes were wild and feral.

“Your cousin?”

He looked at Wesley. Then back at me. A bitter laugh scraped out of his throat.

“Cousin. Right. Is that what you’re calling him now?”

“You care about him this much? Crying over him like this, and now you’re lying to my face?”

Wesley wiped blood from his lip.

“You’re insane. No wonder she doesn’t want you.”

Graham looked down at me. His thumb brushed across my cheek, and when he spoke, his voice was a hoarse whisper.

“Maren, don’t cry over another man. You’re breaking me.”

I was still staring at him when he pulled me in and scooped me up into his arms.

I gasped and shoved at his chest.

“Graham!”

His arms tightened. He walked out and didn’t look back.

Wesley tried to follow, but Graham’s bodyguards blocked the door.
