I Was The Wrong Girl In His Bed For Three Years Chapter 05

Wesley didn’t even have time to react.

Graham already had me by the wrist, pulling me against his chest.

I tried to pull free, but he swept me right off my feet.

I gasped, wrapping my arms around his neck before I could stop myself.

“Graham, put me down!”

He didn’t even look at me. He just kept walking.

Wesley stepped in front of him.

“What the hell are you doing? Put her down!”

Graham barely glanced at him.

“Who the hell are you?”

I cut in before things could get worse.

“Wesley, I’m fine. Just go, okay?”

Wesley hesitated.

“But…”

“You heard her.”

Graham’s arms tightened around me.

He looked down at me, and a cold laugh slipped out.

“Pretty worried about him, aren’t you?”

The car door slammed shut.

Graham shoved me into the back seat. He ripped Wesley’s jacket off my shoulders and tossed it out

the window.

“Who is he.”

I rubbed my wrist where his fingers had been.

“That’s none of your business.”

“You brought him lunch at my office. And now you’re sneaking around with him at a dinner party.”

He leaned in.

“Maren. How long has this been going on?”

He was the one cozying up to his ex right in front of me.

What right did he have to interrogate me?

The unfairness burned.

So I swallowed the hurt and played along.

“You saw everything. What do you think?”

Graham’s jaw clenched.

“So when you said you were done with me, that was because of him?”

“That dress. That night. Was that for him too?”

“What if it was?”

His eyes didn’t move from my face.

The silence stretched. Then, he spoke through clenched teeth:

“What does he have that I don’t?”

I wasn’t expecting that.

But then I thought of Sloane. And I went for the throat.

“He’s young. And he actually knows how to make me feel good.”

“Unlike you.”

I held his stare and kept my voice flat.

“You’re too old. And honestly? You’re boring in bed.”

The car went silent.

Whatever had been holding Graham back snapped.

He pressed the switch for the privacy partition.

He loosened his tie with one hand, and a low laugh rolled out of him.

“Boring?”

“Mrs. Sterling, sounds like I haven’t been trying hard enough.”
