I Was Supposed to Attack the Hockey Captain, Then He Cried in My Arms Chapter 11

My mind went blank.

At that moment, my heartbeat was chaotic too.

I could no longer think.

So I followed what he said and twisted lightly.

As if he had not expected me to actually be that bold, Caelan sucked in a sharp breath and let out a muffled groan before lowering his head and burying it in the crook of my neck.

His hot breath spilled over the vulnerable skin of my throat.

I finally reacted and quickly raised both hands to push him away.

Suddenly, my chin hurt.

I clutched it and glared at him.

“Caelan! Are you a dog?!”

For the first time in front of me, Caelan smiled openly.

His smile was beautiful.

Completely different from his cold, hard aura.

Like a sly fox that had stolen something delicious, smiling until the corners of his eyes curved.

“Mm. Elara’s dog. Only bites Elara.”

His voice was hoarse.

It entered my ears and made them tingle.

I felt like my ears were going to burn people alive, so I lifted my hands to cover them.

“Do you have any shame? What dog? Stop talking nonsense.”

Caelan shrugged.

“You’re the one who said I was a dog.”

I really did not want to discuss whether he was a dog or not.

Covering my ears, I tried to run.

But someone caught my arm.

Caelan’s smile slowly faded, and his expression became serious.

“Can I pursue you?”

I almost bit my tongue.

Flustered, I answered, “Do whatever you want.”

But Caelan still did not plan to let me off.

“What does ‘do whatever you want’ mean?”

I was nearly annoyed to death.

“It means anything is fine.”

He dragged out his words.

“And anything is fine means…”

“Yes! Yes! Is that enough?”

Caelan was satisfied.

I shook off his arm and was about to leave.

But he still did not let go.

“What now?” I glared at him.

Caelan pulled out the bottle of ointment I had given him.

“Don’t move. I was too angry just now and didn’t control my strength. Let me put some on you.”

He lowered his eyes, looking serious, as if repairing some priceless treasure.

The cool cotton swab gently rubbed against my chin.

Caelan’s eyes darkened by two shades.

“How many times are you going to apply it?”

I was getting impatient and reached out to push him.

Caelan chuckled.

“Almost done. He should be gone by now.”

I froze.

Then I realized what he meant.

“You’re so scheming. You applied all that ointment just to stop me from walking back with Julian?”

Caelan glanced at me and did not deny it.

When we reached the academic building entrance, Julian had indeed already left.

I sighed.

Caelan’s chilly voice drifted from behind me.

“Disappointed?”

I was so angry I ignored him.

Caelan lazily followed behind me.

When we were almost back at the dorm, I finally could not hold back and turned to kick him.

“How am I supposed to go back like this? What do I tell my mom if she asks?”

Caelan smiled even after being kicked, his eyes bright.

“Tell her you got bitten by a dog. Your new puppy. His name is Cae…”

I covered my ears and ran toward the dorm.

Damn Caelan.

How did I never notice before that he was secretly this shameless?

Cold hockey captain, my ass.

It was all a lie.
