I Traded My Wolves for a Cold-Blooded Serpent, But Why is He Always Hitting on Me Chapter 01

The voices in the living room kept going.

They thought I was still asleep.

I lowered my eyes. By the dim bedside lamp, I stared at the marks all over my wrists and legs—every single one a lewd bruise.

“She won’t give all of us to her sister.”

“Yeah. That means one of us gets to stay.”

“Tch, Mia’s dull and boring. You can stay if you want, but I’m not sticking around.”

“…Me neither.”

“Whatever. Let fate decide. Is she awake yet?”

“No way. She cried so hard she passed out earlier. She won’t wake up that easy.”

“So weak.”

“Wake her up in a bit. Keep this up for a few days, and she’ll quit for sure.”

My face drained of color. I grabbed my phone and dialed Ella.

She picked up right away: “What’s up, sis?”

My voice was desperate: “Remember when you said you were starved for attention? I’m giving you all three of mine. Just trade me that cold serpent you’ve got.”

There was a pause. She didn’t say no, just asked carefully: “Really? Will they even agree?”

I hesitated for a second: “They like you a lot.”

She understood.

And it was true.

Everyone preferred her.

Ella thought for a moment: “Sure. Your place is too small anyway. Though… my serpent? He’s ice cold.”

I said: “That’s exactly why I want him. I don’t want to sleep with him at all—I’m worn out. He just needs to do chores. I just hope he’s not like these three wolves…”

She chuckled: “Don’t worry. I haven’t even tamed him fully. He won’t care about you.”

Before I could reply, she made up her mind: “I’ll come pick them up this afternoon.”

The second I hung up, the door swung open.

“Awake?” A lazy voice purred. I met a pair of cold, playful peach-blossom eyes.

He stepped closer and tried to yank my covers off.

I croaked: “…Wait!”

He narrowed his eyes and leaned in: “What’s wrong, master?”

“I’m too tired. I need to rest.” I whispered.

“Can’t do that.” He said casually. “You took us in, so you have to take responsibility. We’re still starving. What are we supposed to do if you rest?”

He grabbed my chin. Right before his lips touched mine, I shoved him away as hard as I could:

“Ella’s coming to take all of you this afternoon!”

The man froze.

The two leaning against the doorway also stiffened.

“Us…” Jacob tilted his head. “Which two?”

They thought I was sending only two to Ella.

I shook my head: “All of you.”
