I dragged my suitcase aimlessly down the street, hoping the System would come back

My mouth opened. Then closed. Then opened again. Nothing came out. So it had PTSD from psychiatrists too.

The System said it would hide my tracks for a few days.

With its buff, no one could find me.

I asked weakly, “Why only a few days?”

Sigh. Modern psychiatrists are too good at their jobs.

The System couldn’t help me anymore. I was on my own.

I booked the next flight out to vacation abroad for a few days.

This vacation? Awesome.

When I couldn’t talk to people, I talked to seashells.

During a few days of vacation, I went to see a therapist again.

The therapist said talking to shells is normal. As long as the shells don’t talk back.

The System said I could go back to the mainland soon.

The “one that got away” had come back in a blaze of glory.

I snuck back.

Terrified of being found.
