I Accidentally Slept With My Future Brother In Law Chapter 13

On our wedding night, the chamber was lit with warm candles, rich fragrance filling the air.

Elian wore a formal red noble wedding robe, his features sharp and handsome.

Gone was his usual recklessness. He looked dignified and heroic, a true royal Knight

Commander.

After the last guests left, only the two of us remained inside.

He stood awkwardly by the bed, his ears red, whispering softly. “Wife.”

I leaned against the headboard, lifted his chin with one finger, and teased him. “What? Not

calling me sister-in-law anymore?”

He avoided my eyes, his tone earnest. “No more.”

“Call me sister, then.”

His voice dropped. His ears burned bright red. He obeyed obediently.

I laughed and ruffled his hair. “Good boy.”

At that, he slowly knelt on one knee and leaned close, his eyes full of quiet hope.

“Sister, punish me again.”

“Let me experience your horse-taming skills once more.”

Candles flickered, shadows swayed. The night lasted until dawn.

We spent the night fully satisfied.

Elian’s eyes were red, still soft and drowsy. He curled up in my arms, his voice muffled,

coquettish and hurt.

“Sister, don’t go to Silver String Hall anymore.”

“We’ll see.” I answered casually.

He panicked instantly, his tone stubborn and serious. “If you go, I really won’t accept it!”

I laughed helplessly. “Can you get a new line? That’s all you ever say.”

He thought hard, then spoke firmly. “Then I’ll make a scene.”

“That’s the same thing.” I held my forehead and sighed.

“Then I-”

I quickly covered his mouth and gave in. “Alright, alright. I won’t go. Never again.”

His eyes lit up at once, like a child who’d gotten candy. He nuzzled my palm gently, obedient

and clingy.

Just then, a soft sound came from the opposite courtyard.

I pricked up my ears and faintly made out Rowan’s figure, leaving the yard alone in the middle

of the night.

He was heading toward the city tavern.

I knew without asking-he was buying the roasted pork elbow Diana craved.

My fingers brushed Elian’s red earlobe softly.

A question I’d long had popped into my head.

“Elian.”

“Hmm?” He looked up at me, his eyes pure and gentle.

“Did you two brothers know we’d walked into the wrong rooms that night?”

Elian’s body tensed. He was quiet for a long time, then spoke softly, changing the subject.

“Sister, do you remember ten years ago, you saved a tortoise from the moat?”

I froze completely, my mind going blank.

I stared at him in shock. “Don’t tell me… you’re that tortoise?”

No! I realized suddenly.

I’d fished that tortoise out myself.

Diana had stewed it and eaten it!

Elian’s face turned red. He explained quickly. “No! That tortoise was mine. I released it.”

I stared at him like he was an idiot.

“Are you an idiot? Tortoises are land animals. Throwing them in a moat kills them!”
